New Forums.. new Titles!

As some of you have notived, your old beta titles are selctable once again. So if you participated in the Moria or Rohan Betas you should now be able to select those titles to display here.

Go to your profile (click either Private messages, or choose forums actions, and either General Settings or Edit Profile) and then choose "Permission Groups".
You'll see a list of all the titles you can switch to. These are based on your game account information. So if you had a Moria Beta key and you redeemed it you can once again be "Counter of Stairs".

And for a new twist, we can now pull out things you bought in game or things we've given you codes for and give you forum titles and other things for that, too. So, as of today if you have earned any of the following titles (usually through a code we or someone has given you) you can choose to use that title here on the forums as well.

• The Well met
• The Wise
• The Sociable

Sometime tomorrow, we'll be adding the Weatherstock titles as well.

To see these new titles you may need to log out and log back in.

No. The only titles we can enable are those that were added to your account by a code or a purchase of some kind. The ones listed were all given out as free codes through various means.

Yep. In fact if kins have events where the titles are appropriate prizes we give them out if they ask.

Plus we will be giving them out on twitter (The Wise as a trivia prize) and facebook (The Sociable) in the coming weeks.
And of course there will be other titles for Extra Life 2013 (in game and forum).

I'm trying to dig the founders and original Angmar Open beta keys out of the system and see if I can't link those so people can display appropriate titles for those groups as well.

How about the GM-assigned event titles such as Fathomer of Riddles and the Fashionable/Eye-sore? That would be a cool addition too while you're at it

Unfortunately if the title wasn't' granted by a purchase or entering a code in myaccount.turbine.com it can't be done. I'm actually using the flags on accounts to trigger the titles in game. The exception being the Extra life (actually the 2013 titles WILL be tied to a key because they are also going to be in game titles.) and Council titles. Everything else is tied to some kind of key, token, or purchase.

For example I could assign a different Rohan title to a player depending on whether they bought the base, premium, or legendary editions because there are keys I can tie them to.

That would be awesome. I miss them

However I find that the one I currently have (Gala Volunteer 2012) is stuck with me no matter which of my other titles I have selected in preferences. It also happens to link to a page that no longer exists. Is there any way to change that title? Not that I really mind if not, it's one I'm proud of as well.

Custom titles like that are a problem because they were hard coded to your account by someone. That means to change it I'd have to delete it. Then you could use anything you wanted, but you couldn't get that title back.

You only have one user group listed. So you wouldn't see it as it doesn't apply. You can't choose between one and...the same one.

I see a Guardian icon there as #11. You may have to look at the bottom right corner to move to the next page depending on your setup.

Pulled off the link. Which seems to have fixed the font color and it's now displaying correctly.

It should be easy enough for users to lend you a hand finding the former, but not so easy to find the latter.

Unfortunately what you see is the description not the actual token on the account. Usually these are arcane and not all are what you think they are or make sense. We have a pretty complete list, it's just a question of wading through it as I have time.

Hi Sapience,

Could I check if 'The Well Met' title part of the Extra Life 2012 reward? i could not find it in the list of my available titles.

I contributed to the event last year and have received 'The Sociable' and 'The Wise' forum and in game title.
I do remember there's a exclusive forum title, but i am not sure if it is 'The Well Met'
