Why does forums auto change my signature?

Today i log in and saw a new signature under my post: "A vote for Sapience is a vote for progress! Vote today!" Seriously? I mean... Sigh... Even if my old signature is the useless old character signature link, I dont want anyone to "fix" it for me. Thank you.

PS: just read the thread on general box. Again, I DONT WANT ANYONE FIX IT FOR ME! You think I like to see my signature is an error code? I'll fix it THE WAY I LIKE when i have time. Is that error code against the guidelines? Is it damage the forums? Is it cause lag? I dont think so. Even if it is, you can just simply set default sign is blank.

To answer the OP, yes actually it can cause issues. Broken links can cause things like security scans to flag each and every broken link as a potential threat.

I actually couldn't. Thus the extremely obvious, very in your face hot pink text to make sure it was seen immediately when you posted. Very far from sticking a note on your back. In fact entirely the opposite.

Even if he could change it to blank it would not solve the problem that the broken links cause. The only person who can solve that is you... which is why the very in your face and to many offensive message actually makes a twisted sort of sense.

Forums have been up 6 days, if you had actually fixed it you wouldn't have gotten the new default sig. Stop blaming other people for your own apathy.

What if im not log in for a couple week? Many people only read and rarely post on forums. Many of them rarely look back what they wrote. What if you're on vacation for 2 weeks and come back, find out someone drew a graffiti picture on the wall of your house? If you really HAVE TO change it, and cannot change it to blank, then try to make a neutral note like: "This is a default signature. The link in your previous signature is broke. Please change you signature when you have time." instead of treat people like a wall or a tree on the road where you stick your advertise. Just saying, to someone it might be a joke, but to me, I feel like being used.
