So the servers are down and no official answers on Forums or on the launcher but some guy out there has the time to sit down and delete posts by people looking for answers.

there is a sticky at the top
As silly and childish as most of the "outrage!" threads are, even more silly is shutting them down for no apparent reason other than pique.
That's corporate America for you. Everything they touch turns to sludge.
That was a 38 page thread too. Like it or not you can't pretend the downtime isn't happening and this is where your customers should be able to expect that they can discuss it.
Fight on my dwavern sisters! May the orc blood always wash right out your frilly dresses.
Yea this is getting pretty ridiculous. I was quite enjoying the 38 page thread "Who Broke the Servers," it was giving some of us something to do while we waited.
The criticisms were making Turbine look bad... Orwellian.
Exactly, Don't they realize that by doing this they are liars....since they said they had no access to the forums. But also they only piss off angry customers even more? the one that was 38 pages was actually really funny and helping to entertain us bored folks waiting for an answer that made some sense.
But it seems that now that they've done it, the site has stopped being all weird with the errors and display issues.
If only there were an official thread to explain this..
oh wait, there is.

Or it could be we told everyone why, and made a very major, stickied, publicly visible in the dev tracker, post about it that was tweeted and placed on facebook.
