Is it still powered by Gamespy's backend services, or did they switch?

The GameSpy Technology Website announces that as of the end of next month, GameSpy owner Glu will discontinue backend services for games using GameSpy technology. Word is: Effective May 31, 2014, GameSpy will cease providing all hosted services for all games still using GameSpy. I thought I read somewhere that Turbine was using privately hosted servers for the services on their own boxes for their games use of Gamespy. If thats not the case, its good to get this up on their radar. Do you have a handy link available to leave? =)

but how long does the existing license last? guessing this will run out before the LOTR license.

We are not dependent on Gamespy technology. There may be some remnants of it in our legal language.
