I missed this line in the Release Notes, too.
So yesterday we did 1 RC and 3 DoS runs. And we got no extra Crest from the final chests, just the regular CM Crests.
I really don't understand why this improvement didn't make its way to live servers.

@Vulcwen: Usually they say "There is a chance for ..." if they do it that way. Saying "The final chests in Tier 2 Instances now drop ..." means to me there is at least one of it each time. *shrugs* In fact there is none.

We did 6 runs of RC t2c yesterday = 0 crests in t2 chest, only in challenge one, friend finished 5 runs also 0 crest...Soooo its all clear T2 chest dont drop crests YET

How.. are not roving theats requiring groups? They are what most people consider landscape group content and are only level 100. So how exactly are they ruining end game other than the fact that you want to be an elitist and think No one deserves the crest unless they run the 3 instances.

Are those crests rewards for the daily RT quests or are they looted items from the RTs? If the latter, what limits are in place so that RTs cannot be farmed to death by 24-person raids with everyone getting the crests as shared loot? (not that I am bothered by that - quite like the idea myself but you can appreciate those who would want to keep the rareness of the crests given that they were Osg instance T2C boss rewards).

Would ruin it same way as giving crests to t1 instances, nothing elitims in that just giving people easier way to crests would ruin the reason to run t2, also would ruin it since t2 is way instances are meant to be played for reward purposes, according to devs.

I saw one drop in the 18-man raid we had to form to take down the troll in Mirkwood. Is this going to get looked at? The stacking damage buffs are way out of control! People are reporting taking hits with damage in the millions.

It's a bit same as mirkwood skirmish last boss troll.

I tried to test/solo it wth my Guardian, but I did not find a way to remove them.
As Siipperi said, it is the same icon/buff as for Mazaukal, the last boss in Protectors of Thangúlhad skraid (removed by catapults in this case)

We had 20 people in our group and wiped 3 times before finally getting lucky and beating him. Yeah I took a hit in the 4.5 million damage range, that's crazy! He's really fast too so using skills to slow him down are key. We weren't able to remove the damage buffs either but had lots of in-combat rez and heal capabilities so we slowly wore him down until he died. Basically you can't stop moving if you're tanking and if he targets you specifically be aware you'll potentially be one-shotted. He also has this area attack that sent half our group flying/insta kill. Definitely tough.

The troll reminds me of Leadfoot Brute, a skirmish lieutenant. Pre-HD, if this guy popped out during a skirmish, the tank must kite, or risks to be killed very fast because he has the 500% damage increase passive However, he's very slow, so kiting is possible.

not a bad thing imo, since they are gated to once a day. but man, was i looking forward to getting more morgul crests from running content.
