Also the 1st 2 posts on this thread have videos of the new kinhouses decoration slots arrangements.

I don't know who is responsible for this housing work, but I love them, and really appreciate them taking the time (probably their spare time, I would guess) to do this. I would also be very, very excited to get even one additional lawn hook, if and when there's time for that. Either way, I am excited, and will be grateful for whatever we end up getting.

    Thank you!

I noticed tonight that the houses now have 3 extra 15-slot Mithril-only upgrades. Max slots are 165 (was 120) for Standard and Deluxe, and 225 (was 180) for Kinship.

I could really use those extra slots. With the extra housing hooks, I'll need to keep even more decorations in my house to swap for special occasions/festivals. I can't wait until Yule Festival comes around later this year. I even purchased one of those Yule logs from the store when it was on sale this past weekend just because I know I'll need more stuff this year. But that means I need the room in my housing chest.

I really hope this expansion of housing storage slots is intended and isn't just a "test environment" thing, e.g. we've been able to purchase a max of 260 Shared Storage slots on Bullroarer for a while now, but we're still stuck with a max of 240 slots on the Live servers. Also, the jump from 220 to 240 Shared Storage slots on Live was kind of recent and came well after I noticed Bullroarer could go to 260.

Btw, the permissions on my houses are set to give Everyone access to storage for anyone that must see to believe.

Ah, sorry about that I only checked Bullroarer one day due to it opening during a festival Glad you found some open houses to test in!

Awesome news! I guess that if they bother to copy the new indoors arrangements to all the houses, that means that it is happening. It is going to live server!

I just stumbled into a nice twitch that another player made about the new houses slots & new Minas Tirith decorations: https://www.twitch.tv/chromiteswiftpaw/v/72712846

I just fixed Bullroarer so rank 1 kinships can again purchase houses (for this beta 3 session).

Personally I would like to see free placement within owned property, But I understand the game has some age and most likely will never see that.
(maybe assign each peace of furniture a value and have a total value limit)

But its nice to see more placement options

Thanks to everyone who has posted screenshot. I'm with a new ISP with a data cap. I can't rationalize updating my Bullroarer client at this time. Your screenshots have been great. My wife and I are very excited about what we've seen and heard.

Our thanks go out to the devs. The update looks great! Hopefully, your hard work will not be in vain and the update will indeed go live.

Tybur, when/if this new housing hook scheme goes live, will our currently-decorated houses and the contents of our chests make it through the conversion safely? Will we need to empty all the hooks/chests first?

Has this been tested? It would be a shame for all the excitement of new decoration possibilities to go sour by having something go wrong with the switchover.

That is for what is Bullroarer for, so the players should log there & test it. But if the players spent all their Bullroarer time PvMping instead testing new content, or don't log on Bullroarer at all, they can't complain if the update comes buggy because lack of tests.

While you're not wrong in theory, in practice this statement doesn't hold true. Countless times I have seen bugs in new updates mentioned in literally every version of the Bullroarer builds that still make it on to live. (See the list of bugs in the new raid that are currently listed in this forum as the most recent example.) Most of the time an update comes out buggy, it's because the devs did not / could not fix the stated bugs before the release date. The rest of the time, bugs show up on live that were never seen on Bullroarer. It's not because there weren't enough players to test, find, and report bugs.

    For what it's worth...

We are all ecstatic about getting more hooks. I do hope though, at some point, that we can make the BIG improvement - allowing the hooks to be moveable. And please, PLEASE, can we get red wall paint?

WUT? There is no option to transfer a house while copying a character, it can't be tested on Bullroarer.

Many players (myself included) purchased all three types of houses (Small, Deluxe and Kinhouse) and made them open and available for decorating for anyone on Bullroarer.

All you need to do is put a bunch of housing items on your character on live in its bags or VAULT (Not shared storage!!!) then copy that character to Bullroarer and then go to a neighborhood that has open decorating on the houses and go for it. You can also use the free turbine points and landscape tokens obtained in the Eyes and Guard Tavern to go and barter for all the housing items your heart desires off the various landscape barterers.

The houses I bought are in the Ux(I forget the name...) neighborhood in Bree-land housing if you'd like to test with mine.

Oh, please, read the previous conversation. We talk about changes to EXISTING houses once the update goes live. Some hooks were moved, and there is no mechanic to test what happens to the items already slotted there once our live houses converted to new ones.

That is a really, really good point. Going to PM Frelorn to see if we can get an answer on this. Maybe it would be best to remove all decorations from current houses before the update on Tuesday, just to be safe?

I've been wondering about the conversion myself. I had already planned on removing every decoration (that I can) from all my houses before the patch, just to be safe. I've already started clearing storage space to accommodate all those decorations. Too bad the increased housing storage wasn't already implemented. That would've helped immensely.

There are various troubling situations that I can see coming from this. What about items that are bound to now dormant accounts? Accounts could be dormant for many reasons all the way from "just bored with LOTRO, may come back" to the death of the player.

If Turbine had let us know about this in advance and had opened up Bullroarer before the patch that expanded the hooks, I for one would've been very happy to test this conversion. It's way too late now if it's getting implemented next week.

Since there's been a previous QA comment in this thread, hopefully Tybur will see this and let us know what's supposed to happen.

The windows aren't nearly as important looks-wise as our stuff is.
I totally agree with You. This wall in Bree-land kinship house is better to keep in the old form.

Yes, this is exactly what I was getting at in my question. There's no way to test this on Bullroarer, and I don't want to just go on faith that my stuff is going to be OK when the house interiors are switched to the new setups.

I've got a busy weekend planned already.

Houses on every NA server, plus multiple kinhouses, over 6 accounts. Not gonna happen.

This is a simple question that a bluename should be able to answer. Will decorated houses come through the switchover with no problems?
