Extra Life 2016, Team LOTRO, and November 5th marathon LOTROstream

I will be coordinating my first year of fundraising for Extra Life, and wanted to provide information to any LOTRO players who would be interested in taking part in this charity event.

On Saturday, November 5th from Noon until Midnight Eastern I will be playing LOTRO on Twitch.tv/LOTROstream, and raising money during that time.

I have set a personal goal of raising $3,000 for the Boston Children's Hospital, and have set a $10,000 goal for Team LOTRO. Since the LOTRO team is based in the Boston area, this hospital made sense, although you are of course welcome to select any hospital you wish to for your personal goal. I don't know that I or we will hit these goals, but they seemed like a good place to aim for. I know my own son once received care from the Boston Children's Hospital, and I think anyone who's been playing LOTRO for a while will be aware of Sapience's outstanding efforts to support these folks.

If you have joined Team LOTRO, you can select the display to show either your personal goal or the Team LOTRO goal.

Incentives

If you donate at least $2, you will be entered into the various drawings that are unlocked by Team LOTRO reaching certain milestones. If you donate to me or another Team LOTRO member, it counts!

There's one important thing, though: Extra Life doesn't provide me with enough info to match your donation name to a forum/LOTRO community name, so if you donate and want to get a prize, please fill this out and PM it to me on the forums here:

Without further ado, here are the incentives! My personal goal is to raise $3,000 this year for Extra Life, and I've set a Team LOTRO goal of $10,000:

Group incentives:

$1000 - Ten 500 Turbine Point codes will be randomly distributed to people who donate at least $2 to the fundraising effort through a random number generated drawing.
$1500 - Ten Titles and Ghost Bears will be randomly sent to anyone who donates at least $2 through a randomly generated award method.
$2000 - Ten more 500 Turbine Point codes will be randomly distributed to folks who donate $2+.
$2500 - Ten more Titles and Ghost Bears for $2+ donors.
$3000 - The big event! If we hit this milestone, me + whoever else I can rope in(no promises other than me) will take part in an event on every server, times/locations to be determined. This will be me celebrating with you + whatever else we can make happen!

Individual incentives:

$5 - Forum Title of your choice, within the community guidelines. PM me with your desired choice. If you already have a custom title, I can add another!
$10 - Custom Forum Avatar - Let me know what you want your avatar to be, and I'll do my best to make it happen.
$20 - In-Game Hero of the Small Folk title.
$30 - Ghost Bear pet certificates: I will mail you up to three Ghost Bear certificates to various characters you'd like on whatever server(s) you want.

$100 - I will be honored to hang out with you and/or your Kin in-game. While there are certain rules I cannot break (things that hurt the game world, giving out loot, leveling people up, etc. - mostly common sense stuff), I will be able to give away a couple of things, and I will of course be open to any and all Q&A.

All incentives are cumulative, so if you donate $30, you also get the benefits of the lower tiers. I will be taking donations through the end of the year.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday's livestream! We hit our goal of $3,000 yesterday evening, which is tremendous. I will be working over the next week or so when I have some free time to get everyone their codes for things, and will do the group incentives drawings in early January, as I'm taking donations through the end of the year.

This time of year is always hardest for some: Either you are away from your loved ones, or money is tight because of all the gifts and added expense of the Holiday Season...but just think of these kids, who are already going through a serious, serious time in their lives. Perfect time to give them an Extra Life I won't miss those extra few Peppermint Mochas (toooo much, I'll live) but these kids will have a brighter holiday and future because of us

This community, its members, and what we all band together to do is one of the reasons LOTRO has the best community out there
