    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome quest-giving, life-like statues. Like seriously, you'd think they were real people but they never move! Especially that one in the Library...

    Rivendell is also known for its awesome barrel racing, to include waterfall drop contests. *Hobbits not included, and do not try this at home.

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome treasury of good counsel and wise lore.

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome high feast days and the songs chronicling the deeds of their history and of the Blessed Realm of Valinor.

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome similarity to Lauterbrunnen as you can see below.

    I wonder if there is anyone from Lauterbrunnen who plays? You'd think they would have better things to do there but when the winter nights draw in what is better than warming yourself up by heading to the flaming deeps..

    Thanks for improving the layout.

    Readability has improved a lot with te lines. Maybe having a small indention would improve the final bit, but this is just minor.
    2 more comments:
    • The bold header of each sentence is IMO not enough for highlighting. Maybe decreasing brightness for the regular text (a tiny bit towards grey) would improve that.3
    • more spacing before headers would also improve things even more (e.g. compare this week's 'events' chapter to 'Fansite news')

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome acoustics. The Last Homely House is a veritable Fourth of July of fracturing leg bones.

    I assume you mean "only if you do something stupid like jumping off the third floor."

    There's a little rhyme in some German dialect (sorry, can't identify which one) that translates as

    "There's powder for fleas;
    There's polish for shoes;
    There's water for thirst;
    But for stupidity there's nothing."

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome night life. I mean, who doesn't want to stay up late into the night listening to epic verse and song of the elder days?

    Rivendell

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome peacefullness, (like Bilbo wrote in The Red Book of Westmarch) a perfect house, whether you like food or sleep or story-telling or singing, or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all.

    Rivendell is a word I hope I don't see in the next Beacon after scrolling through 4 pages of this issue.

    Rivendell is not only known for its incredible beauty, but also for its awesome trickery as it calms and soothes weary travelers only to send-them off on terrifying quests like slaying a dragon and taking back a mountain, reclaiming treasure, or tossing a Ring into a fiery volcano in a Valar-forsaken wasteland filled to the brim with hundreds of thousands of Orcs and ancient evils that await the weary traveler after a month of cram-eating, miruvor-drinking paradise replete with slow hobbit walks and beguiling scenery, and Noldor moaning about how they messed-up in the distant past through fairest songs and poetry, while the weary traveler shall soon learn the meaning of it all, from escaping a Balrog and later, a traitor, and capturing a certain "gangrel creature," crossing labyrinthine hills and cold, dead marshes, to climbing endless, straight and winding stairs and facing-down a huge spider with Silmaril-light, then singing songs to light the ways while trapped in a tower's winding maze, wounded by stinger, then losing a finger, and the weary traveler knows not these things, not yet, but only a restful sleep, and in the Hall of Fire, a feast, and all forgetting one sure thing: Lord Elrond's been there and done that- and it's not his turn anymore: its YOURS!

    Issue 2 onward will be able to be accessed through the URL method you mention, but issue 1 had an odd thing that made it fall outside of the expected URL.

    What do you mean you fell in and can't find a way back to land? Just keep jumping down waterfalls. You will find a path... eventually. It is almost a LOTRO rite of passage.
    Congratulations, you are this week's winner! PM incoming with a code.
