Another thread about the new crafting dailies

    Greetings,

I am trying to open just the Skoironk solo crafting daily.

I have done all the quests inside Skoironk. Now Thurindol has a daily quest "Enemies Beneath the Mountain" - but that's all.

Please tell me what else I need to do. Someone in-game suggested doing all the fellowship intro quests, but I can't believe that would be a requirement to open the solo instance - they couldn't be that silly, surely.

There's 3 group quests in Lang Rhuven that need to be completed. Helping the horse escape, The war party and the war leaders. This will open up 4 group quests in T.O.T and Skoironk that need to be done. You do not need to do all of the quests in the zone. I've got Skoironk and T.O.T dailies opened, on toons that haven't done the other zone quests.

Thank you for your swift reply. So just to confirm: in order to do the solo dailies there are a load of fellowship quests which need to be completed first. So I guess I won't get to do the solo quests until I get enough time to complete those fellowship ones - next year maybe

NO! Those Lang Rhuven fellowship quests are absolutely not necessary in order to open those solo dailies! Just do every solo quests by Thurindol and they will be opened. Those fellowship quests only open fellowship instance opening route.

Also, did you grab the relic/artifact just inside the door at Tower of the Teeth? Its just to the left, with yellow letters, right after you come through the door to enter in the landscape version. It starts a quest that some have said is a pre-req to getting the solo instances.

Ooohh -- that sounds good - I've been into the tower but don't remember this ...

    <edit>
There is a Gondorian Artefact inside the door, which does indeed start a quest. On completing that you are send back to Thurindol who gives you three more in the Tower of the Teeth. Does this mean that you have to complete the quests in both dungeons before you can do the daily solos? I'll post back with that answer when I've completed all the quests in the Tower of the Teeth (which reminds loads of people about Terry Pratchett) unless some other kind person beats me to it.

Missing this seems to be the cause of about 90% of the problems with opening the solo resource instances....

I had the same problem with the Gondorian artefact, but what I don't understand is given the name of this thread why you didn't read one of the other threads on this topic which answered your question?

I went back through the pages of recent threads until my eyes hurt and didn't spot anything which looked relevant - maybe I'm no good at interpreting thread titles, or searching, or something like that - apologies. If there is a post which specifies the exact minimum pre-requisites for opening the Skoironk solo crafting dailies please link it. Otherwise I may have time on Sunday to complete ToT - so will update then if no one else does before.

It is a pre-req, yes, it's where I was stuck for a while. The quests between the 2 places are interwoven.

Did you complete the wandering ghost chain? One of my kinnies missed finding him, and that seems to be required too.

That's not needed for crafting dailies. I missed that chain on beta, but did crafting instances just fine. Ghost chain opens up plenty of Dagorlad quests though, so it's worth doing

    Hi again,

Okay I've found time (in between serving up food for a bunch of lazies who were watching the Grand Prix).

I've now completed all of the Tower of Teeth quests. All completed inside the Tower except "A dangerous trap" which sent me back to Thurindol. An extra daily quest was added so now Thurindol offers me both "Enemies Beneath the Mountin" and "Enemies Beneath the Towers".

    But still no crafting Dailies.

So I've tried completing both solo instances but still cannot open the dailies. Would anyone else like to suggest anything sensible as the next way to unlock the solo Skoironk crafting instance?

<edit> I did have one remaining unfinished quest "A dangerous Structure" ... apologies because when I went back and completed that one a) Quests of the Waste completed and b) when I went back to Thurindol FINALLY he had 4 repeatable quests - the two mentioned above plus "Skoironk: Breeder of Poison" and "Towers of the Teeth: Guardians of the Depths" YIPPEE

I hope this thread is useful to those others who want to do the new crafting instances solo

    requirements to do crafting instace

Are these 4 required to do crafting instance? Sorcerers in the Tower, waiting in Darkness, LR: the attack, and LR:The Destruction. Been thru the Wiki but nothing is posted about it. Maybe because this is all new. Also got to finish the artifact quest.

Are you saying that the fellowship quests are necessary to open any of the crafting instances?

Bother, and other words beginning with B. My husband and I have no one to fellow with except each other. Occasionally we can duo as a trio, that is, a Hunter, an LM, and the LM's L108 Lynx.

Perhaps when the level cap is next raised we can try it.

Group quests are necessary to open group crafting instances. For the solo version you need to do solo quests mentioned in this thread. There is no duo option though, either you get the quest from Thurindol and talk to him to enter solo version alone, or you get the quest from Candur and talk to him to enter group version (and for group version, especially if it is your first time, you want a full group).

Okay, thanks. Eru alone knows how long it'll take me to get through the solo quests, but it isn't as if I were going anywhere right now.

Doing the quests from Thuridol to unlock the solo crafting instances isn't terribly hard. Just check your quest tracker carefully because they dump so many (too many) on you as remote quests that it's very easy to miss one or more and have to make a return trip to finish them up. And of course, don't miss the one from "using" the Relic just inside to the left after entering Tower of Teeth.

Suilad DJ, See the underlined In Flooz's quote. You absolutely do NOT have to do the group quests to open the solo instances. There are many repeat trips back and forth and it seems like with the Eye watching us, we're trying to really do a good job of keeping the distraction going by rushing back and forth.

I havent done any group quests there and all of my twinks have the solo crafting instance open. But other than that i guess you have to finish the deed "tasks in the Slack Hills" ( not sure how the deed is named in english client). All my twinks had the solo crafting instances open, when i finished 30 quests there.

I opened those solo crafting instances today again for another toon, so here is the thing:

You don't have to do any fellowship quests or complete any Wastes deeds in order to open solo crafting instances.

What you have to do is complete all quests offered by Thurindol. He sends you to Skoironk AND Towers of the Teeth to do some quests there (in public landscape version), and you get more quests when you enter. For Towers, it's absolutely necessary to get that quest that you get by inspecting Gondorian artifact (or whatever was the name) that you can see right when you enter, on the left side. After you have done first set of quests, Thurindol has more quests for you for both Skoironk and Towers. You need to do those as well, and THEN both Skoironk and Towers solo resource instances are unlocked. Also, you don't have to do those "kill 20 enemies" -daily quests in order to open those instances.

Ok... What do you have to complete to get Thurindol to offer you any quests at all???

At the Milestone Ranger Camp Candúr offers me the four Lang Rhuven quests: The Slag Hills, then the 3: Escape, Guards, Siege - but Thurindol offers me nothing.
I've completed Book 8, and don't see anything obvious in my Quest Log -- so there must be some other quest I've missed.

I think the minimum is Mablung's quests at the Camp of the Host where you eventually get "Head to Haerondir". Once there complete everything from Anborn and his cronies including all the Dûm Boha landscape quests. After all that Thurindol should have a quest ring - I haven't tested this yet to check whether there's anything else but that's what I am going to do on my next toon who will be doing the solo dailies.

On my hunter, I did the following:

Start at the Camp of the Host, with the chain of quests with the dog Faroth. After finishing this, you should get the vector quest to Haerondir.
In Haerondir, you'll get three quests in different directions, you only need to do the ones in Dum Boha (including the landscape quests you get when arriving there).
After handing these in, you'll get a vector quest to the camp in the Slag Hills.
In the Slag Hills camp, you get start the solo quest chain (no need for the fellowship quests), until you are asked to enter Skoironk and Carchost.
Enter both, and remember to do all landscape quests once again (easiest to miss is the gathering of the relics in Carchost, it starts with an item to pick up, just left as you enter).
When you finished all these quests, head back to the camp in Slag Hills. You'll get a second set of quests for both Carchost and Skoironk. You only need to do the Skoironk quests (you can skip the second round of Carchost quests).

This may not be minimal, this is what I did on my hunter, and I got the solo crafting instances unlocked.

    Thank you!
That vector is what I was missing... had done all quests up to the final step in "Bane of the Serpent" -- got sidetracked for some reason and never finished it!!!

For what it's worth -- I have completed all of the quests in the Noman-lands and Dagorlad as well as the Book 8, but not gotten the vector to the Ranger Camp in the Slag Hills.

These are the ones documented on the WIKI (as I seem to be the only one doing the updates from Update 20.)

Opening the Crafting instances was one thing I have been trying to puzzle out.
