Restoring the Three Kingdoms still bugged (fixed)

The quest cannot work as intended while dailies are mislabeled as part of the Erebor or Dale-Lands quest stubs

What I'm referring to is that a good few of the current repeatable dailies for the new content "Restoring the Three Kingdoms" have their quests mislabelled as belonging to a different segment of the content.

This applies to ALL of the dwarven dailies given out from NPCs around Erebor and also some of the Dale-Lands quests.

List of quests unassociated with Restoring the Three Kingdoms (but should be):

    • [Men] Renewed Patronage
    • [Dwarves] Trinkets for the Ravens
    • [Dwarves] Draughts for the Dwarves
    • [Dwarves] The Stones of Erebor
    • [Dwarves] Burrowers in the Barrels

These quests also do not progress the deed "Quests to Restore the Three Kingdoms"

EDIT: Sees to have been fixed already without the need for a downtime.

It could be that these are just extra quests. In mordor, we only needed four quests for the daily wrapper to update, but we could do a lot more than four per day. If they add these five quests to the wrapper, then the amount of dailies we can do per day will decrease (depending on how many quests the daily wrapper allows).

They should tick down the deed however.

The wrapper is set to 8.

So without these quests it's spread across multiple days.

What adds annoyance to this is the varying level of counted quests for each day.

Considering Cordovan listed a total of 25 quests, it would be odd to suddenly flip and say "Oh those aren't intended to progress the daily" - Thing to note here is that quests that were just patched to fix phasing issues (i.e. "The Stones of Erebor" ) are included in the list of quests currently ignored by the wrapper.

    ....then again.

I'm really dissappointed with U22.0.1. I'm used to there being bugs when an update first releases, but usually these get fixed by the first Hotfix or the next small update. This time nothing of the most important stuff has been fixed. Lasgalen purification tokens still bound to character on acquire, the daily quest not working, Oh but they can fix an emote.

I'd rather have them delay an update a few weeks and release it properly then this, it just adds a lot of annoyance to players. I really hope another hotfix iwill be scheduled soon.

And at least in Mordor you knew that all quests from Allegiance hall counted for that day. Now it's a lottery: I got three quests from Great-keep in Dale and only two of them counted towards the deed and wrapper quest. There was no indication of any kind in quest text to tell me which one would count.

The quests that do not count are listed under their respective landscape tabs on the quest tracker instead of under "Restoring the Three Kingdoms"

I have updated the guide to highlight which quests currently do not count.

    Examples below:

Discontented Dale-Folk counts as it is listed under the correct tab. Meanwhile Burrowers in the Barrels and Renewed Patronage do not.

Restoring the Three Kingdoms has suddenly disappeared from my deeds, I have been awarded with 5 lotro points while I was offline. Deeds of the North should also be completed with this, however it is not. Quests of the North is 4/4 but didnt count towards Deeds of the north since its stuck at 2/3.

    What has happened here?

Did anyone else experience that Restoring the Three Kingdoms has suddenly mysteriously disappeared?

edit: something very strange has happened. After relogging I was awared with some skirmish marks and stuff, and noticed that suddenly Deeds of the North was marked as 3/3. Then I relogged again and was rewared the titles and the Crimson Goat. In 11 years I have never experienced anything strange related to deeds like this before.

Started a thread about this. 5/8 on 1 and 8/8 on 2, so far. Testing one more.
Seems to be an issue if you got to dailies before they disabled them and you didn't cancel what you had picked up.

This was added to the Patch Notes this afternoon:

    'Known Issue
Endgame - Five repeatable quests aren't correctly advancing Restoring the Three Kingdoms. This includes the following quests: Renewed Patronage, The Stones of Erebor, Draughts for the Dwarves, Burrowers in the Barrels, and Trinkets for Ravenhill.

It is logical, in view of the times in which we live. But to be logical is not to be right, and nothing on God's earth could ever make it right!

Thing is...I just did Draughts for the Dwarves, and The Stones of Erebor, and they advanced both my daily quest and my deed. So...for some people they're working. Hope this ends up being easy to straighten out.

I think they got side tracked this past week, as we all had. I'm rooting on them to fix many issues next week.

For my two characters, the quests stopped at 5/8, but points were added to the deed "Restoring the three kingdom". For the third character who has just started daily quests - 8/8.

It's not for anything. I trust my testing more than I trust his reading of SSG announcements, who, btw, don't seem to do any of it.

Quests are just fine if you didn't pick them up (and possibly not cancel) before they disabled the quests.

I went through on a second character and got all 8/8 for the quests as well.

It seems your suspicion Gandalphor might be right. I did Stones of Erebor, Draughts for the Dwarves and Renewed Patronage... all three of them progressed the daily AND the deed.

Edit: Got a PM from Cordovan, said they might be able to fix without a downtime. Looks like it worked.

Guess they've either fixed it or it only affected first round of quests?

I got to 6/8 and figured it was just the first day blues. Felt obliged to drop some MC (10) to reset the Drinks quest and clear the quest for a clean start today. If it happens again I'll wait on a fix.

I guess part of the good news is that the parent quest (key one) continued and I got it for doing additional 3 only. But did the rest as well.

Like I said... I don't think it was bugged, just a bad reset that didn't acknowledge the quests picked up before they shut the dailies down. I hope they will be working on the next cycle. Rest will be just fine, I imagine.

The second character I did it with had quests open from before the patch which all worked. So something *was* done within the first few hours to fix it.

It's fixed/working now - I guess which is whats most important.

I just wish they added the landscape granted quest, like for herbalism. So you don't turn in a daily progression by accident before picking up the main quest.

EDIT: Actually just noticed that Thranduil had the main quest also.
