Cordovan announced that the beorning+burg class changes will be live next week.
THAT IS REALLY REALLY BAD.
The burg class changes are really really UNFINISHED!
@Cordovan@Vastin@Friendlyhat please do something!

Well, as far as testing ahead of release the equations P+1=B and B+312=L are pertinent.
Remember that the Yulefest starts on the 18th so all this stuff is going live on or before that date.
It is logical, in view of the times in which we live. But to be logical is not to be right, and nothing on God's earth could ever make it right!

Are the tier 2 and 3 versions of The Rift viable options for those on the Legendary servers? Or is this solely designed for 120 endgame?
Rift does not scale so it still will be 50. It could be soloable at 120 at T3.

About the new raid-set bonuses:
Am I the only one, who is thinking that the new sets would make hunter quite OP?
Heavy Armour & Medium Armour:
Why the inconsistency on the mitigation sets? No one would care about that set with that bonus.
Make them: 2 piece: +1% & +1%; 4 piece +2% & +2% and 6 piece: +2% & +2%. 5% mitigation would be worth to go for, but not 2% resp. 3%.
I'm am missing bonus for tanks like +5% inc. healing as a 2 piece bonus.
As it is now, this is how the new raid set will be used:
Light Armour Classes:
2: -10% skill induction
4: healer/supporter LM: +5% OGH
non healer:crit
6: healer: vitality
non healer: crit
Heavy Armour Classes:
Tank: 2 & 4 & 6: vitality
Non tank:
2: -10% attack duration
4 & 6: crit
Beorning: depending how bad the class rework will be.
Medium Armour Classes:
DD:
2: -10% skill induction
4: -10% attack duration
6: crit
Tank Warden: 2 & 4 & 6: vitality
No way are tanks going to take the vitality. so you can take ~30k morale from the set bonus, instead of 3% physical and 2% tactical mit, which is going to be a 10% reduction in incoming physical damage (assuming guard), and a 6.7% reduction in incoming tactical damage. I really can't think of a scenario where a geared tank would want 30k morale over that incoming damage reduction. And that's ignoring the current possibility of using the medium armor two piece bonus alongside the heavy armor two piece bonus for a total of 4% tactical and 3% physical mit.
And it gets even higher reduction if you're looking at beorning after the potential changes (75% phys mit), or guards group fortification buff, or minstrels mit buff. They should absolutely NOT buff the mitigation from these sets. it's already potentially too powerful of a set bonus.

Maybe the two piece will be used. But not the other ones. Physical mitigation will be higher with the raid armour and p.mit was always easier to max then tact.mit. So the additional 2% p.mit is worthless not to mention that all kind of the drakes doing tactical damage. What do you think, why many guardians are going right now for the Will earring with tact.mitigation? Wardens can buff themselves already over 70% mitigation, a warden will not need the mitigation set.
About the Beorning: we will see how it is, when it is online.
They has to buff or change the set (change to 4% tact mit. and 3% phys mit.) to be more than a joke.
And i strongly recommend to put a class restriction on the sets.

Wardens can buff themselves already over 70% mitigation? This is not true, warden's mitigation cap is 65% and you can't achieve that much so easy, you will start fight with 58%, with no damage source reduction (-%incomming damage), low avoidance buffs and on top of that we have no panic skill, so we are very vulnerable in begining of fight.
Yes, you can teoretically get +61145 physical and 71550 tactical mitigation rating from your defensive gambit buffs, this looks very good, but most time you don't have active all +rating buffs, because buff duration is very low and number of gambits we have to use is too high. Most of the time, you will have only +47574 physical and tactical mitigation ratings from Conviction and Dance of War. Medium mitigation cap is 216179, I have to still use few tactical mitigation essences to get close to the cap. I agree, warden save lot of essences with his buffs, but other classes have lot more passive +x% buffs and lot of their active skills buff additional +x% defensive stats. How much essences worth this?
On my tanking warden, I am going to use 2 set pieces for -10% attack duration, to speed up gambit rotation little bit, then I will probably use 2 pieces with mitigation and maybe vitality.
With all buffs from other players in fellowship, high mitigation tanks will get incredible damage reduction, with additional +4-5% mitigation from sets.

Wardens do not get anywhere near 70% mitigation without defiant challenge.
We can talk about the heavy armor changes to the bear now because it is on beta, where this current armor set also happens to be. That is the whole point of this section of the forum. This set bonus will be broken on beornings, especially if it gets buffed.
Assuming 70% mits, 1% additional mit is 3% incoming damage reduction. 3% damage reduction is worth so much more than 10k morale. it's not a rating boost just to be clear, it's a % boost that goes over the cap. The set bonus has absolutely nothing to do with how easy mitigation is to cap or what gear you wear to obtain the mitigation cap, and it gets more valuable the higher mitigation goes, not less valuable.

I'm glad you like the descriptions! I'm a little concerned about expanding the text boxes for items too much, but I do like the idea of getting more flavor in there. I mostly tried to keep the descriptions pretty short (although I did get carried away once or twice). The numbers aren't really my thing, but unless I'm told otherwise my natural inclination is to go to town on the flavor side.

I have to agree the flavor text and descriptions in this game are just great. I love reading them and some of them throughout the game are actually fantastic! Please keep this up SSG and don't forget that some of us do actually read these.![]()
Well, we should at least know if we are running into trouble proudly parading it before certain folks.
I like item descriptions, even short ones. Kept some old items, especially jewellery, just because of it.
In SWToR I keep some of the trash loot items just for its names - computer parts, tools etc.
Wouldn't do that here with all the strange things one would not really like to have in one's backpack - outside a science lab at least.
