Will we ever get these or was it just something that was said?
because I personally would like one.

I hope this comes to the game, with big enough storage, this would be a godsend.

It's read with a plug in such as Lotro Compendium or Item Scanner, and yes, some items found, may not yet be in the game but they have been developed. They may or may not get added.
The fact that the crafting carry-alls have been introduced adds to the likelihood that they will be however.

the answer to your question has arrived today.
Task item carry alls available in the store today, though, through purchase of LOTRO points (so real money only).
Bottom 3 LP packs include 1 small task carry all.
Top 3 LP bundles include 1 medium task carry all.
Though there is no mention of how many slots is in either size.
Sometimes, no matter how hard you look, there is no best light.
The official announcements just got published.
The small task item carry-all will carry 10 unique task items that allow for them to stack up to 2000.
The medium task item carry-all will carry 25 task items that allow for them to stack up to 2000.

I am a bit puzzled about how to get this.
I require MINIMUM Medium size. I got one small for the account I bought Minas Morgul for but only for the FIRST character I logged on. How do I get it for the REST OF my Characters?
Will they be available in stor now, or only during Black Friday and only if buying Lotro points? Or what? https://www.lotro.com/en/game/articl...k-friday-deals

So the small carry-all for the Minas Morgul is for crafting items. The current bonus item is for task items.
If you wish to acquire a medium sized task item carry all, you will need to purchase the appropriate points bundle from the LOTRO store as it is a bonus item that comes with those points.

I bought the lowest pack to receive the small carry-all since I figured I could use it like I use the small crafting bag: to store the "current" region items. For that, in this case MM, is plenty (especially for those cracked lances that look like axes xD).
I like that you can receive more than one task bag but I'm a little sore that you guys didn't allow us to have the crafting bags in more than one server. I feel that for our money (whether 80 or 130 bucks), it would've been more than fair.

ok, so now I have a "small" AND a "medium".
Wait.... Crafting Carry-all vs Task Carry-all... I thought is was ONLY Crafting Carry-all. I want crafting carry-all nothing else... confusing small text on my 4K monitor..
I want a refund. Please.

Just got a medium one with a points purchase, but I don't think I'll use it long.
- It stores everything that is marked as task item, also the ones that really aren't. Very annoying, though arguably I should have seen that coming.
- Tasks won't complete with the items in the carry-all. You have to manually take them out and dump them in your bags. Really poor, and certainly did not expect that.
It seems that the various kinds of carry-alls aren't a specialization, but only a limit to their usefulness.
Quite disappointed.
On your first point: yea, it is annoying, but there isn't a "label" on task items that separates the ones you can actually turn in from the ones you can vendor. So I've no idea how they'd code that into the carry-all.
On your second point. For me, that was expected.. I own the crafting carry-alls and I wasn't hoping for the task ones to work in any different way. They are just a (monetized) solution SSG found to allow you to have more inventory slots (since they said they can't do it directly to our bags anymore - some technical issue).

? will I be able to get the task carry alls in the future? because I don't have money to buy them now?
also I don't want lotro points I get that monthly with vip can I just get the carry alls?

No, you can't. They are currently only available with a real money purchases of LOTRO points. In the future, they may be in the store for points, but they may not be. It's anyone's guess.
The more people that buy them via this real money route, I suppose the less chance they will ever be in store for points.

Please make them destroyable. I now have 3 cluttering up my inventory as they came with my lotro points.
I can, but then I remove it from current character.
So I tested a bit and:
I can leave it in Shared Vault and other Character can pick it up, but then it remains with the second Character, the original Character can not find it again in the Shared Vault.
Seems to be a unique, transferable item, no two characters can have it at once, despite not being Bound to Character but Bound to Account.
The Carry-all, any of the two, will collect items from all characters and keep them available for all characters, that uses it. But, only one at the time.
So while it reduces the need for storage space, it only does so for the Character that is currently using it. That means in order to get it for all characters you need to purchase LP at least once for each Character. Then again I don't know what happens if you suddenly have several Carry-all's in the Shared Vault??

When I tested the crafting carry-alls, you could buy them for each character on the account (yea, beta) and you could put them in shared storage. Any character could subsequently pick up any (all) they desired. I'd expect the overall tech (the stored procedures and check constraints) to be similar. They would simply take up one slot in the shared storage, each, wouldn't stack (and you wouldn't want them to do that, either; since they are indexed, I guess). (In the SQL behind that, they're likely binary large objects.) I don't remember seeing the Unique flag on them; and that is very meaningful in SQL.

I have 4 of these taking up inventory space now, for the love of God please let us delete them.
Weird.
Having characters at different Reputation or Crafting levels makes you want to keep the Carry-all with that particular character. Sure you can transfer them via Shared if you want to pick up cluttering items, but in my opinion this should reside in every characters bag and not necessarily be transferable to others or to Shared since the character in question is the one benefiting from turning in tasks, crafting being different but still similar advantages, and no one else. If you are done with one Reputation or Crafting and have a surplus of items you can transfer it to another character needing it so that character can fill up it's Carry-all.
One Carry-all, both types, per character.
