LI: Wasted a lot of points. Be careful! you can't use the same Traceries in weapon and runebag

As a Runekeeper, I have a Runestone (weapon), and a rune Bag.

I put in my traceries in both.. they when trying to EQUIP, it says, you cannot have 2 of the same unique traceries on the 2 items!

Just so you know! So you dont waste your enhancement points!

My understanding was that applied only to the Word of Power and Word of Mastery traceries. I was able to equip the same heraldric traceries to both items. Am I mistaken?

Read Tooltips. If you see the word "Unique" That means you CANNOT have two of those equipped at the same time ON YOUR PERSON/GEAR.

Also, there's a bug that blocks swapping LIs with the same Unique tracery on it. It blocks the swapping. i.e. when I try to right click and swap Main-hand weapons on my screenshot below, it gives me an error. It shouldn't do that check when swapping with the same weapon slot. The check should only be vs. that LI slot and the other LI slot.

Are the Devs going to put out a tutorial soon? There is currently no comparison between how the old system works and the new system. Personally, being a casual player, I just got used to the old system, (not that I have mastered it, by any standard, and they've gone and changed it again). A little more information about how the new system correlates with the old would be helpful to noobs like me.

How did you try and slot them? I think that might be the message you get if you just click on the traceries in your bag. Proper game tutorial? Are you kidding? SSG can't even write basic instructions. They just throw stuff at us with nice descriptions but not one word on how anything actually works. Guess no one at SSG is capable of writing it.

Strange. I always slot my traceries by pulling the item on the "flame" symbol in the char screen and pulling the traceries in their respective slots on the window that appears then. Right-clicking traceries never worked for me.

I don't know if this is relevant to any of the problems people have described above, however, if you have traceries that are appropriate for your level and you just obtained a new LI, it might be under level. You should reforge it up to your level and then the traceries might fit. Also, there are limits on certain types of traceries, so you might not have any open slots for the type of traceries you have left.

Dear Raininia & other devs,

The same problem here as mine.

Obviously not as obvious as thought - what exactly is unique? ON THIS ITEM - or ON CHARACTER? This information was missing, at least IN THE GAME.

A refund in the game is in order!

As this is about real money sunk into this, otherwise it might be a RL money refund that is in order via the judicial system. (And this is a serious SSG topic, not a whining fanboy apologists problem)

So guys, been away a while and only just now hearing/seeing about these new LI changes.
I am trying to understand how it all works, but there seems to be quite a bit of confusion about it all. So before I even attempt to do anything, I would like to ask a few questions.
1) Do I use my existing LI's for these new traceries or do I get a new one?
2) If I use my existing ones, how can I get them changed to the new system?
3) If I get new ones, are they those level 45 ones in Rivendell that cost 200 ancient scripts?
4) What happens to all the crystals, empos yada, yada, yada that I have in storage. Are they all useless now?
5) Do the LI's no longer have a dps value like the old ones did? and what about titles, can we still use them?
6) What about settings, runes gems etc, are they no longer valid?
7) What about our bridle, does that have the new system also or does the old system still work for that?

I am sure I may have more questions going forward, but that's it for now.

Sorry if these seem like noobs questions, but like I said...I been away for a while and I don't want to mess up like some people already seem to have done so due o lack of information.

We really need a tutorial for the new system especially with the old system which still exists in some ways. What about our old runes? Nobody knows what will happen with them. Give us a convert option here please or remove them completely.

To be fair to SSG it was in the article they posted:

Words of Power and Words of Mastery are unique, you cannot have two copies of the same word slotted into an item, or equipped to your character at the same time.

And to be fair to the original poster, it should have been made even clearer...

I've wasted a couple of teal shattered morgul traceries due to managing to double-click in the barter interface due to lag, and once by just buying a lower level tracery by accident, so be careful!

Thankfuly, I'd made a few extra LIs so I had spare, but again, not everyone even knew that doing that would probably be a good idea.

I do agree, an actual tutorial style article would have been much better, hopefully something Raninia and Cordovan can take on board.

People blaming SSG for people diving in and spending currencies etc. on a system that they have not taken the time to fully understand, or digest, when there is a HUGE amount of info out there on it is weak. Take the time to do your homework and plan out your LIs before succumbing to the must have now shiny new object syndrome.

Maybe Blue posters should wait for the finished product before misleading players else we'll have peeps wasting resources buying and slotting less optimum heraldry and crafts along side getting shafted on conversions.

It's like they go out of their way to make it worse for those who still trust them. I see I'm missing the Friday stream, lets see if we get a hint of understanding ILIs or IoLs? Maybe it's Brawler intro time and a Valar 130... just to see how not to follow advise.
