    So Excited for 15th Anniversary

Just read about the 15th Anniversary and the new Yondershire region opening tomorrow and I can't wait!

Thank you to the powers that are who made the VIP subscribers' jug last two weeks instead of 24 hours! How terrific is that.
Cosmetics for Anniversary look amazing and can't wait to get my new Corgi pet. My account will receive the 12 year box this year, an even dozen years in LotRo!

Looking forward to the new festival instance, and all the new goodies available.

Thanks again for planning and executing a wonderful Anniversary Celebration!

I'm really excited for this too! I'll also be getting the 12 year gift box.

I'm super impressed with the crazy long list of free items SSG is giving out. I hope it draws in lots of new and returning players. I'm excited for the new cosmetics and horses, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new festival instance. And of course Yondershire!

Is the free Valar being given out a 130 level Valar?

The name used in the announcement is Gift of the Valar which is a Level 50 boost:

If you never bought the Collector's Edition of Minas Morgul (or Ultimate edition) then you will be getting a Valar 120 with that for free as well. Also a 105 valar from the Mordor's Collector edition if you never got that.

There seems to be some nice items.

A question is the valour for any alt in your account or just the alt you log in with.

I'm looking forward to it, too. It all sounds really nice. The mount looks really pretty.

Who knew 15 years ago when I got the game as something to do during my maternity leave that I would be here still today. In a weird kind of way the game has grew with me just as my son has. Here's to another 15 years.

Don't open it. Only then you can transfer it to a different character. That's what it says in the wiki if you followed the link posted earlier.

I started playing before either of my kids were born. When the second came along, I stopped for a long time (about 8 years). Now, I've come back to LOTRO and am playing with my son. It's been a great way to share my love of Middle Earth with him, and in a strange way, it has helped bridge these two periods of my life.

Here's hoping we can continue exploring Middle Earth for the next 15 years!

    *excitement intensifies*

I was a little amused that it says "login after 10am" and the servers are down until 1pm.

I don't play the game with my daughter, but as we've read through the Lord of the Rings books this past year, I would log in to the places in the game where we were at the time, and it's been really nice to add that little bit of fun to it. We would also go and find the songs that people have made on YouTube of the various songs from the books. She really enjoyed it.

Are you going to extend the festival for a day? I don't mind if you don't, just curious.

I wouldn't be surprised this will happen depending on how long it will take to get the server hamsters re-trained on runekeeper satchel supplying.
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!

I second the sentiment of gratitude. THANK YOU SSG, for the very generous gifts.
There were some glitches in the release, but that's how things go with software sometimes.
Please don't be discouraged by the complainers and whinners who feel entitled to everything handed to them easy and free. Probably the same ones who flood our medical emergency systems with petty problems and never pay a dime. What a shame.

Thanks again SSG, and keep up the good work. You will get this figured out. Our lives won't be destroyed by a little disruption; well, at least not most of us.
