I can't believe that no one has mentioned the fact that one of the first quests in the man area is to gather Athelas to help heal the ranger's wounds. THAT's straight out of the book.

I'll throw out a behind-the-scenes lore-bit.
Rhidden is one of the Lore-trinity here. While in QA, he also caught a real doozy of an error in our original loader splash screen. Someone had gotten the brilliant idea that the runes on the Witch-king's helm would look better symmetrical, so they mirrored one side of the helm to the other.
Little did they understand that the runes were not just random markings for looks. It actually says something very lore-important. I wonder if I should tell y'all, or make someone out there dig it up?

Maybe not a hidden nugget, but I think it's funny how in Thorin's Hall, they have Labourers mining while they are asleep, with the "Z"s floating above their heads.
You know they're working hard when they're doing it in their sleep. :0)
Nine for mortal men, doomed to die
My favorite nugget is the hope you get when standing next to Glorfindel. He's the only person in the game to grant 10 hope, which I assume is the max. Until Gandalf becomes 'white' instead of 'grey' that's the way it should be. I just wish he had a glowie effect.
I think that Glorfindel actually grants 5 'person' hope, while Rivendell itself grants another 5 for 'place' hope.
Also, I think Pippin grants 5 hope as well.
Glad to hear that.Originally Posted by Berephon
I certainly like that he is.
You may HAVE 10 Hope when you're near him, but he doesn't himself GIVE 10 Hope. If he did, you would have 15 Hope overall, since the Vale of Imladris itself gives you 5 Hope.
And if you're right, and he does himself give 10 Hope, then can I borrow him for Barad Gularan, please?![]()

From what Berephon was saying, I was imagining that perhaps he gave 10 hope, but that the cap is also 10. It's all kind of moot unless we see Glorfindel outside of Imladris sometime, or can generate some sort of dread near him. It does give me the 'warm and fuzzy lore-feeling' thinking that he gives the most hope in the game though.
I think the biggest lore-break I've found so far is the moon being full every single night.Berephon should've been all over that one.
