Swords for Hire [New RP Kinship]

    Presentation:

Are you a Mercenary? Join Swords For Hire Kinship!
If you don't wanna play alone and neither fit in a endgamers kinship we may have a place for you. We have no forum, no website, no TS, no compromises. We just provide a few strict, despotic rules and a lot of roleplay.

    Description:

We are a young neutral mercenary kinship. We support not the Free Peoples nor Sauron Servants in the upcoming war. We only fight to the death for ourselves... or for money.

Our base rate is 5 silver coins per level of the hired char every 15 minutes or less fighting or crafting for a customer; payment in advance. A couple of examples:

    - A hobbit needs safe passage to Bree through the Old Forest and Barrow Downs. He hires a lvl 32 char from our kin. He pays 32x5=160 silver coins and starts the journey. After 15 mins he has to pay again or, no matter what, the mercenary leaves. If the mercenary reaches a new level, the fee will rise accordingly for the next payment. The hobbit can pay in advance for 30 mins (320 silver coins) and the mercenary will protect him for such time and will ask only for a 15 minutes (or less) new fee once the time paid in advance is over or the mercenary dies.

    - A minstrel needs to be taxied to Osgiliath. He hires a lvl 99 mercenary captain already there. The minstrel sends 99x5=495 silver coins fee by mail, then, the captain blows a horn and summons him to the city. The minstrel can still use the mercenary time for the next 14 minutes left, but he refuses to (no refunds).

Once paid, a mercenary will conduct any asked command, even a suicide task. However, if the mercenary dies due to such ordered actions, the contract is also ended and a new arrangement will be needed for further orders; even if paid for an hour and died in its very first minute.

Unbound loot collected during the time in contract will be offered to the payer before the mercenary leaves. Money, coins, tokens and reputation items will however stay in the mercenary sacs.

Materials for a crafting requirement are of course NOT included in the contract fee, but provided by the hirer.

    Rules:

A Swords for Hire mercenary will keep an updated bio with the following advertisement:
    THIS CHAR IS FOR HIRE!
Current Fee is (level x 5) silver pieces per 15 minutes or less on duty

Any mercenary can advertise his services in the World Chat, stating current fee, time to spare, class and crafting abilities. A mercenary should not arrange a fee other than kinship standard, will never work for free or, worst of all, will refuse to obey a customer once payed to do so.

A mercenary can always refuse a contract, but once hired will always respect time and orders from the payer. If due to IRL matters a mercenary becomes unable to fulfil a contract, a refund for the time left will be issued to the payer.

To become a Swords for Hire mercenary there are some requirements.

    Prefered race: Man.
    Allowed: Elf, Dwarf.
    Forbidden to: Hobbit, Beorning.

Prefered class: Guardian, Champion, Captain, Warden.
    Allowed: Burglar, Minstrel, Loremaster, Hunter.
    Forbidden to: Runekeeper, Beorning.

    Prefered gender: Male
Allowed: Female (in non prefered classes only)

Outfit: Swords for Hire uniform pieces are the Sellsword´s Hauberk and the Ceremonial Wig-Feld (black dye both). Any armor pieces for the rest of slots (in black too) will do fine.

Weapon: A Sword for Hire mercenary will always hold a sword for close combat.

Title: “The Indomitable” title must be displayed at all times, as every Sword for Hire has no allegiance to any faction in Middle Earth.

Pets: Men at Arms are prefered for the captains. Lore masters should use bears, feline or avian pets. Vanity pets will be real animals too.

Mounts: Goat steeds will be used just when no other mount is available.

Please, notice we call ourselves Swords for Hire kinship, but the true name of this kinship is Sword for Hire, without the final s, in order to stand as a second title for every single member in the kinship.

Thanks for the propposal; however, the whole kinship can not be hired as long as it will never force its members to fulfill a contract. No compromises is part of our motto.
Every mercenary in Swords for Hire is free to engage in whatever, individually decided, activity he pleases; henceforth, you will have to contact them, individually too, ingame.

    Cheers,

    Dear Mr Murgen,

you wonder if I wonder. I believe you wonder too much. My personal advice to you is to speak with Lord Elrond instead of wargs; the sickness you described from that bite can be maybe healed. Regarding the silliness in your ministery, well, I am rather less optimistic. One thing you were at least right; under any astrological circunstances, I do not want to meet you.

    Best wishes,
    Alataar The Mage

This is exactly the kind of kinship I'm looking for, so you still don't take any hobbits ? I play as a hunter.
