Actually all food that you can purchase with silver lasts for 5 minutes with a cool down of 5 minutes.
I never released it, but after checking, I see that the food you get from trading in stones only last 30s to 1m. That makes them currently even more useless than I realized. They will need some large buffs to make them worth spending the stones on vs the vendor food which lasts for 5 minutes.
I guess we'll have to see what the proposed changes to the heal values before I can really comment on their usefulness.

Examples (so you can see what I'm using for comparison): Hard Biscuits, Roast Pork, Perfect Pie, Bread and Jam, etc.
Creep food lasts from 30s-1m depending on the food, with a 1 minute cooldown for all foods. The stats on the foods have been streamlined - morale/power over time and out of combat regen.

According to the lorebook all of those items have a 5 minute duration (except Fried Mushrooms which has no info on it's duration).

thats what I thought you were talking about the OOC regen is 30s to 1min. and the heal/power over time on all of those is 5 minutes. (except the new crafted food that lasts for 10 minutes)
vendor bought creep food I could have sworn lasted for 5 minutes aswell...and I thought delving stone food worked the same way
I'm also a little confused now

Fried Mushrooms are a +stat item so last 10 or 20 minutes or whatever it is they last.
It was the King Color, of which all the other colors are merely partial and wishy-washy reflections. It was octarine, the color of magic. ...
But Rincewind always thought it looked sort of a greenish purple.
BOS should convert our DD to Shadow damage.
ranged shadow damage has precedent w/other creep classes.
Any DOT component should remain common, but frankly once the 'wound is bleeding' or the poison is coursing through the veins of our prey...what good is armor? how would armor continue to mitigate that damage which is coming from within a person? So I think the dot should bypass mitigation checks all together, or buff the DOT up in damage to compensate for the mitigation effects based on an average common mitigation figure.

I can't stress this topic enough and it's an excellent point to boot.
I can slot 2 traits for DPS and my captains melee crits will increase by 15% in magnitude, yet I need to attain rank 10 as a reaver to get a +1% damage boost (the 2% melee crit boost is still nice, but the former....notsomuch) and I could go on and on with comparisons but it's safe to say the point is the MAJORITY of racials need a hefty boost to better reward people earning their rank.
I've played reaver for a long time now and there's hardly ever been actual motivation to rank beyond how very much fun the class was to play, and everyone knows how devastating reavers can be.
There may come a time for valor without renown, for those without swords may surely still die upon them.
While I hold out hope that the info will be more promising changes will come in the next few weeks when we get down to class specific changes.
Getting crit 2-3% less often or for slightly less in magnitude is NOT the survivability buff that I, as a spider need post moria.
Having a 10% chance for my DoT ticks to crit (30 second dot that ticks every 3 seconds, on average ONE tick randomly during the entire length of the dot might possibly hit for over 100 common damage) is NOT the damage boost I need post moria.
I have some AMAZING skills to look forward to that I will never see (improved mez, shorter countdown for latent poison, a single target melee range fear). I have become THE absolute easiest single player controled entity in the entire zone to kill. My entire class is based around kiting and controling a fight, yet I do not have any more capability to do this than classes on the other side who's classes are built around healing or pumping out damage. My only snare, as potent as it is, has a minute cooldown vs EVERY single other kiting class in the game being armed with a snare which has a MUCH shorter cooldown than duration. The class is designed to rely on kiting, but doesn't have enough tools to kite while actually damaging the opponent until receiving a fear at rank 13.
I used to get by with my lackluster kiting skill set due to a thick health pool, and slower combat system which allowed me to recover from having my opponents close or gain range (depending on their class), now any such lapse results in a very dead spider 90% of the time. Classes I still hit for sub 200 damage through heavy armor mitigations are hitting me with single skills (which sometimes include multiple swings) totaling 1500-2000 damage otherwise known as "over 1/3 of my morale pool).
Short of some really good class changes announced in the coming weeks, I will just do what the developers have been hinting to me that I should have done the day moria was released and switch to a DPS character.

I guess I do not understand your point. Why would only creeps get something from book 7? Doesn't monster play include both sides? Also I read nothing about any nerfs. Only thing I read was a ton of buffs for creeps I was just asking if there is something in the works for freeps also.

Freeps
* Lainedhal’s Insignias can no longer be used in areas outside of the Ettenmoors. These items now require that the player is inside a PvMP area.
* The Chest of Glain Vraig, Chest of the Second Marshall, and Chest of the First Marshall have had their loot tables updated.
* Boss monsters in the Delving of Fror will now drop level appropriate loot.
* The slow portion of Dust in the Eyes will now be properly removed on defeat.
Enjoy!
