Won the Bree Cheese, got a gift box?

Just a quick check to see if anyone else has run into this.
My 65 LM on Arkenstone is listed as winning the Barrow Bree Cheese today. I logged him on and found a lavish gift box in my mailbox rather than the Bree cheese. I'm hoping this is just a delay, was pretty psyched about winning
Anyone else seen this? I bugged it just in case.

Bummer, I was curious if it was server related since the same thing happened with my mom's toon, but we currently play on Arkenstone so that's not it...

Happened to me on Nimrodel as well. List on my character says I won cheese but all I have seen tonight is a box. Hopefully it is just a delay and the box was from another win

I won the Bree Cheese lottery and received nothing at all.

I am suspecting that those that got gift boxes also won those and so thought they got one in place of the cheese.

Known bug. See reply from Sapience here. They had maintenance, so the servers weren't running when the lottery winnings were awarded. The gift boxes were not a substitute.

The maintenance wouldn't have had anything to do with the cheese. We're looking into this.

Unfortunately, we can't restore or replace prizes that have gone missing in the lotteries. But once we can resolve this, we'll get the lottery back up so everyone has a second shot at it.

I didn't think the a.m. downtime would have been the culprit since the Wine and Cheese lottery was in the afternoon.
I'm not one to complain about free stuff, thank you for giving us another shot at it.

We've found the issue. The glitch that allowed the system to give away 5 of the cheese was at fault. Because the item is not stackable, the game couldn't award the cheese.

There will be a new Cheese lottery later today with more possible winners than the original to make up for those who won, but received no item.

I love the Barrow Bree... it's one of my favorite items in the game! I found it randomly while farming one time!

Best of luck for you trying to get it... but if you don't, you can always grind the Bree Rep dungeon for it.

No, but by increasing the maximum number of winners, it does improve the odds quite a bit.

Hehe, if you got in to enter the lottos before the site went down you probably made out like a bandit with the smaller pool of those that had a chance to enter. The site came back up after the first lotto finished.

Clearly the system is flawed because I keep losing the Symbol lotto. I bet only the hardcorez are winning! At least I have enough tokens and pots from gift boxes and stuff to last me the life of the game. lol.

lol, same here. I think I've gotten probably about 20-25 Fused Aged Relics from the boxes as well for my alts

Yeah, but given as wine and Barrow-bree aren't exactly game-shaking like Scrolls of Empowerment or Symbols of Celebrimbor, it'd be easier to hold repeats, no? Have wine of the day every so often, and rotate between the different wines.
