I'm happy to purchase one, though honestly, I'm not sure how long I'd be able to financially pay for it given school and whatnot. If folks will actually use it in the first place. >_< *shrug*

I can already see the first disputes here. As I do come from Landy, I'm not a particular fan of Vents or TS. I've seen them do more harm than good. Kinships and Tribes are able to make very good use of both, but daily, open vents/ts WILL result in Farming sessions. All of this has happened before.

Honestly, I'm not so sure what you are talking about. The E Creep TS really darn well. Like most things (including this game) it has its issues.

On the technical side, it works fine. With a vent with creeps that have maps, on a server where we are trying to have fights not zerg v solos, and freeps who don't, we all know and have seen how this turns out. I'm all for the vent being used, lets get it used right.

No no no no, not mechanics/use. I"m talking about over using it. 50 creeps and freeps standing in the same 40m for a an hour or so dying and rezzing, not moving away from the Rez circles or NPC black hole.

I'm beginning to see that my play style is going to get onto people's bad side, so I'll have out with a few other things that vary from server to server:


Candy Mountain is no different than any other random spot on the map.

1v1 are only 1v1 if no one else is around.

Someone will die... somehow...

Sending me hate tells for any reason will get you as much an answer as an answer from someone who doesn't care.

as for vent/ts it's very helpful for creepside as any1 who has been to E has witnessed, for freep side i'm sure it's useful but there are a lot of factions on freepside as well as other places freeps could be rather than pvping but i still think it would be good to have a vent/ts server for freep side pvp raids. better communication=better battles though it runs the risk of also creating zergs

I hope that if it becomes widespread on Riddermark, that it won't be like E where if you ask ooc where the fight is, your only answer is a link for the vent channel. Not cool. Or logging on and having no idea that a keep is in dire need of help defending because noone says it in ooc.
I hope this server can sucessfully be a hybrid of the best side of everyone's preferred playstyles, and not get like "My way or the highway" mentality. Please?
We are coming from all over, not just E. If everyone is expected to do things the way E has done them, all it will be is a mirror of that server.

If I'm not hugely busy with a fight, I generally always try to answer in both ventrilo and OOC, and to be honest, I generally expect folks to do the same just out of courtesy for those who cannot use vent for various reasons. I can respect that entirely. Honestly, I'm not interested in replicating E over here. I'm providing the server so folks can use it if they'd like to as something that in my opinion will always be better than in-game voice. I don't expect everyone to use it, nor do I expect everyone to have the same play style as I do! Lets see how it goes. I've made the server, hopefully we can make the best of it, if not, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
