Have custom avatars been disabled? (Moderator answer would be appreciated)

Did you know that you could upload your own custom avatar? In the upper right corner under my preferences and my avatar. However, we can certainly look into adding some more in the future.

I'm not seeing this option.

I've tried in three broswers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) on two different computers

My understanding is that custom avatars are currently available only to VIPs.

They are at least partially broken, in that selecting what the small avatar shows is broken for me in two browsers (Firefox and Chrome).

It seems that instead of using the frame you define for the small avatar it always picks a 0x0 area in the upper left corner. That happens to me both when uploading a 700x700 image and also when uploading an image that already has the right size for a small avatar.

I realize some others seem to have managed but alas it's broken in Chrome and Firefox here. In the other thread about the white border to the right other people reported the same problem.

Ah well that explains why Avatars don't work for me. It would be nice if that was mentioned somewhere though!

FWIW, somebody fixed the small forum avatar functionality between yesterday evening and today.
