Why no 30-Day Game Time in the LOTRO Market?

    Hi,

why is there no option for purchasing 30 days of game time in the LOTRO Market? 60 Days and 12 Months are too much for me. I know I could buy game time through my usual Turbine account, but I don't own a credit card (and I don't want to) and PayPal is also not the best way, but these are the only options given on the accountpage. The LOTRO Market has more and different options to choose from like PaySafeCard and others. I would actually consider buying game time for a month, but with the options of 2 months and one year, this puts me off.

The offers in the LOTRO Market are cousins to our time cards you can purchase at retailers. Those cards didn't include a 1 month or 6 month option.

I'll make sure the suggestion gets looked at by the right people!

Nope. Auto renew has not changed. These game time cards are for people that do not want to subscribe. Or can't subscribe because they do not have any acceptable payment method. In addition it is an easy way to buy a gift for that Lotro gamer in your life.

Not so easy. You have to be logged into the account you are buying the game time "card" for. It's not a physical card, just applies a month of time to the subscription you are currently logged into. I wanted to surprise a friend with VIP time, and couldn't because I had to have his account info. In the end, I got him a Visa gift card for him to use.

Wishing I could get physical game time cards in the store, but no one around here sells them.

You have to go to the older Turbine web store which mails you a code.

There was never a time you could purchase one month game time cards? A game like Wildstar offers the option of purchasing a 30 day game time card. I don't want to compare both games, just want to say that a 30 day game time card is possible. I would be delighted if you would introduce the option to purchase 30 days of game time to the LOTRO Market!

Nope. The original cards were all plastic cards. There is a fixed cost for making a plastic card on a paper carrier - does not matter what the card is sold for. I suspect felt that a 15 dollar retail value card was not worth after paying to make the card, ship the card to someone like Game Stop, discount it so that Game Stop could make a profit.

When electronic cards came out Turbine continued to issue valid key codes for the durations they already had. Apparently Turbine did not feel that it was cost effective to set up a different duration in the accounting system, new key code sequence, new product pictures...
