    SPOILER ALERT!!!
Those who don't want the quest spoiled for them, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER. You have been warned.

I did Marigold's quest last night. Bingo's barely gotten out of the Shire, and already he's making his way through the heart of the Old Forest! How did he and Marigold get past Old Man Willow unscathed?

Also, we finally have a reason to see Tom Bombadil again. Nice

I figure she's just adventurous enough to know her way around in there. ; P

I really like Marigold. Bingo's kindof a flake, and I'm still irritated with him for making me go all the way back to his house for all the things he forgot...
I'm secretly hoping that Marigold tags along, at least for a short while longer.

To be honest, I think I like Marigold more :/

I'm kinda scared, because I expect we will be in Bree next week, but BB will probably forget something in Tom's house, and we will have to bring it back. Alongside with another item from his home in the Shire. That's probably how Fedex was created in Middle Earth.

I'm teasing, but the quest where we get back to his house 2-3 times was really tedious.

Whats the betting that Bingo will think the Barrow Downs are a good place to have a picnic, and someone will have to rescue him from a predicament (either from an attack by Barrow-wights, or a trip to fetch some cheese & pickle).

Also noticed with Tom Bombadil's house that he is inside, and Goldberry outside, or they are the other way round (might depend if its day or night), never seen them together.

As far as I can tell from recent visits, Goldberry is inside during the day and outside at night (to the left of the house as you face the door). Tom's the other way round.

Marriage trouble ? That would be awkward.

Nothing to do with marriage troubles, just different work shifts.

The best way to stay happily married is, in fact, to not bump into the other person all that often.

    Another SPOILER below... warning.

After being alerted that this week's quest contains something that might be spoiled, as soon as I was sent to look for missing Marigold I half-expected to find her body washed up on the bank of Withywindle. Proceeding through the Old Forest while fearing the worst (and remembering that MoL is a master of darker narratives too) - only to find her alive and well to considerable relief. So thanks for raising the stakes with your warning, myfreezr2 Definitely added a sprinkle of suspense!

'Leaving Is Not Easy' was actually the quest I was most worried about during these first few months of the Ballad of Bingo Boffin -- because as a game designer, I *know* better than to send you guys back to the same spot several times in a row, and I knew it was not going to be popular. I do think the characterization was worth it, but I will admit that I'm glad Bingo has left Boffin Manor behind him, and with all of the possessions he'll need!

It fit the story well, but it was a bit tedious (and I had ports!).

I totally get that. I was kinda frustrated by it - but I felt like I was supposed to be in a way - a sort of funny, "he's so forgetful" frustration followed by "I can't stay mad at him"

Even if that was tedious, the 'defeated hobbit' has earned all forgiveness required.

It was a bit tedious but I found it funny. How many weeks are planned for this episodic content, or are you hoping to surprise us with the final one?

There are fifty-two weeks of questing, so it's a year-long event.

    (Surprise!)

Yep, his quests will never go away, so you can find him and play through all of his quests up to the current week (he starts out at his home in Michel Delving). It was important to me that it not be possible to miss out on any Bingo quests if you happened to miss a week or two.

Also, despite the name of the thread unless something very odd happens there is only one Bingo Boffin (Bingo Boffin and episodic content; or Bingo Boffin's episodic content works).

Or it refers to the chapter with Bingo and the Boffins

Which would make an amusing band name.

Excellent news! Thanks again MoL, we are still enjoying this refreshing addition.
