    Hello lotro community,
i play all major mmorpgs from everquest to world of warcraft, and i've bought many many collectors bundles over the years. The deciding factor has always been the value plus items included with the deal.
With this being said. I have recently started playing lotro, and even though it's f2p i'm quite enjoying rhe gameplay, even though the constant server disconnects and animation battle lags are quite annoying.
But i still want to play it however being a 11 year old game with current managements lack of enthusiasm into fixing character and gameplay issues i'm kind of on the fence of dumping $200.00 of my hard earned money into this game with an uncertain future laid out by ssg
the legacy bundle sounds like a really great deal and makes me want to go ahead and buy it......but theres one problem. If ssg really wanted to hook brand new players with its deal by offering all the quests raids instances and skirmishes up to dec 31st so the can enjoy all the content the game has to offer plus 1 year vip, then you should have included all the races and classes too to make a new player really want to join right away. Without half-elf, beoring, rune keeper, and warden included in this $200.00, it's jusy not worth it for me because i won't be able to fully enjoy all content with all characters and classes.
Imho if you got rid of the housing perks your offering and replaced it with the races and classes i mentioned i would buy this $200.00 bundle right now plus my group of 13 friends i play with would do the same thing, and i'm sure all those other on the fence new players or old returning players or the current f2p players that are still undecided would also jump at this deal if they could get all races and classes
don't know what ssg's thoughts are on this but i bet if you asked your sale/marketing team about this i bet they would see all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs they woulg get compared to the current legacy bunndle they offered
but at this moment with the way this bundle syands i will doing a hard pass on it. Dom't feel im getting the best return for my $200 on an 11 year old game with no management supervivion

MysteryMeatDish, let me just start by saying that the bundle is definitely worthy even without classes and races in question. I can't stress it enough, it is really a great opportunity for new players. This bundle is time limited, as things stand at the moment, offer ends on December 16th this year. There is initiative for this deadline to be prolonged.

Last time I checked (without any discount), classes Rune Keeper and Warden cost 795 LP each, races Beorning and High_Elf 1000 LP each. Race + character slot is 1295 LP. With this bundle you get 500 LP each month for one year, and just by playing the game and doing deeds you will earn some more LP. That is to say, you can get at least one class or race very fast.

Future is not really uncertain, they have a plan for upcoming content and changes, and some of it is known to us through official infos. As for fixing things, yes, I very much agree with you there, and we all are pressing and rooting for it to be done as fast as possible.

Mirhean, i appreciate your response and opinion, but we are going to have to agree to disagree.
As a new player i want to jump in and experience the content of the game with all classes and all races. I know you get 500lps each month and you can earn additional lp while playing but that process takes over a month which we should not have to wait. For that kind of money i'm asked to give i should be able to log on get my half-elf character ,pick rune keeper as my class or warden, and start to play. 65% of the content won't be available for me to play until later on in the year because of all the level grinding i will have to do so why prevent us from starting right away with all the race and classes rather than waiting for your free lp points to accumulate over 2 months time to be able to purchase from in game store 1 beoring or 1 rune keeper or 1 half elf or 1 warden but not all 4 at once. Most new players don't have the luxury of playing full time like you veterans and the limited time we have we would like to spend it playing with the races and classes we like right away. I mean you are asking us to give $200 which is a substantial amount of money even for a lotro fanboi as well as a first player or f2p player. Your losing nothing and gaining a more increased subscription pool of applicants that will dive right in and probably play for years to come.
So this is my opinion and my stance i have no desire to purchase this legacy bundle if i cannot also have included the complete races and classes that are in the game as of dec 31st.
    Thank you
this is not a hate driven commentary, it is an honest one.
I believe big business decisions always need to be adjusted to adapt to the changes in game players mentalities, and if ssg changed the 1 small point of including all races and classes in this bundle they would experience a greater return on their investment and a larger player pool for the future of lotro

No, I'm not playing full time either. We got those classes and races with time. That is to say they were not available right from the beginning. Rune Keeper and Warden came with Moria, Beorning with Gondor, High Elf with Mordor. I do not disagree with you at all, sure it would be fantastic if all races and classes are included in this offer, but that's not the case and yet it is still valid that this bundle is a very good offer as it will save you lots of coins in the future. After all, it's not like you gonna roll all classes at once. And you should be wise to wait with Beorning since balancing is in the progress.

And no worries, I didn't take your comment in any negative way, quite contrary. I am a veteran, this bundle is useless for me but because I am in this game for years, I only tried to give you best possible advice for your own benefit. I done my part and whatever your decision, I hope you will have fun

It's a pretty good deal for new players, and even some who've played a while. You're making a significant saving on all the individual parts, and you get a wide mix of content and goodies to help make the game more enjoyable.

Used to play LOTRO for a few hours a day, now down to the occasional dabble, got all the areas and QP, all the races so in my opinion its like paying for the whole thing again and getting the few little extras as a bonus, even though they seem quite nice.

What I would love to is to have the ability to purchase a stable master unlock for swift travel permanently for my characters rather than subscribe for a month, a small thing but it frustrates me so much running here and there needlessly.

Remembering previous years' holiday sales had Quad Pack and Rohan at only 25% regular price and last year had individual expansions at only 15% regular price, which was even cheaper than when bundled in Quad Pack on sale. Will those discounts repeat this year?
What shows is what there is.
