Dev Help Please - System Not Excepting Kinship Name

    Hello,

We are trying to set up our kinship on Anor, and the system isn’t accepting the name. We have had the kinship on Landroval for years, but Anor won’t accept it. Please help us. We put in an in-game ticket, but was told that they didn’t have the power to fix the problem.

    Please, please, help us.

    Kyrie

Is it possible the kin name is...questionable? Maybe they added filters and the other is just grandfathered in unless and until it gets reported?

It shouldn’t be a problem. It uses the Elven spelling “Lhun” for the Lhun river that runs through Erid Luin. The weird thing is it will allow us to use the Man/Hobbit spelling “Lune”, but being an Elven kinship, the members are not wanting the non-Elvish spelling. We have used “Lhun” for many years on Landroval with no issues, not sure why it’s a problem on Anor???

I would think someone could help us? If I knew an actual dev, I would just send them a private message.

Maybe because if you drop the "L" you get a word used as an insult towards Germans? Just guessing.

They do have the Power the fix it, they can change your kin name upon request they've done in the past, not sure why they can't now, however there is no issue with Lhun, I've tested kin names for awhile now and its bugged and they won't fix it.

I guess it's because places' and persons' names from the books are reserved so players can't use them. Sometimes they add things to the reserved list I think because I've had problems naming my horses on new chars also with names that were possible on older chars' horses.
There's some good in this world, and it is worth fighting for.

I have had the same kin name on Landy for many years. That’s why I don’t understand the issue???

It would be very nice if a Dev would respond. Or if someone can pm me the name of someone that I could send a message to, I would be indebted to them.

Create the kin, name it whatever, and submit an in-game ticket for a kin rename. It should come in a day or so.
