Mushrooms. I'll let you guess what kind
Fall immunity again? That was the freebie two weeks ago . . . . You must think we are REALLY clumsy!

Is there any real answer other than Old Toby pipe-weed?
"Fear not the dark. The light of my blades shall hold it at bay."

I would farm barley (spring, winter, and black), as well as rye berries. They seem to be the highest in demand by cooks.
"Man, if we make it out of here alive, I'm gonna buy you all a round of beers. Hell, I'll buy the whole damn bar!"
I would seriously investigate creating a hybrid: Old Toby combined with Athelas (Regenerates 3% Morale in or out of combat, duration; 2min. cooldown; 3 min. Stacks with any Morale regenerator.).
I would get the genotype figured and then build a complex of green-houses.
With this product adventurers could smoke a bowl before and after consuming a fine meal of regenerative and fortifying foods. Then top it off with some trail-mix and head for the battlefield.
Then while waiting for the rest of your group to repair/replenish you could have another bowl and blow enormous green smoke-rings. (Those smoke rings would have an AOE: +1% Morale for all PCs within 5m).

My crop would be pipeweed of course... and maybe a side project of grapes.

Taters. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!
Something that would take care of itself. I'm to lazy to tend to the fields.
Potatoes for sure! I’d have mashed potatoes for everyone everyday
po ta to
some sorts of tobacco
Athelas Nice old Athelas
I would farm mushrooms and taters, and possibly keep a few chickens. That way I could make a delicious farmer's breakfast. It's the kind of good hearty that hobbits seem to enjoy
Arkenstone player. Tinethrum (Man Captain), Sokilvar (Dwarf Champion), and Scuthlo (Hobbit Burglar).
*Flowers* of course! ...My second choice is Pipeweed- the Butterflies kind. (Although, it would be great if I could produce a crop that made a FIREWORKS Smoke design.) ^_^
“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay; Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien
Breadfruit! It is a very versatile superfood the size of a pumpkin can replace wheat or potatoes on any recipe either sweet or salty. It grow in beautiful noble trees that produce all year long & can also will make neat new house decorations when blooming with flowers & fruits.
Blueberries, so that Holly Hornblower can always be sure to make good pies since my blueberries would be of the best quality.

Has to be those classic taters. What crop would you farm if you lived in Middle-earth and had to be a farmer?
That would be mushrooms (despite the well-established and renowned competition)!Originally Posted by Cordovan
