My Champion's rune has a couple empty tracery slots. Tried to slot a tracery and got "you do not have any valid items to use that on" message. Maybe the rune needed to be re-forged. Did that. Tried again and still could not equip the tracery. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

Could it be that you have that same tracery on your other LI?

Yup. Dumb rookie mistake. I lost track of which traceries I was obtaining to fill those empty slots.

I'd say dumb rookie user interface that doesn't warn you of these things. I guess quite a few of us made 'mistakes' like that.
