Dwarf Guardian

I was going to make myself a Dward Champ but I dug in the forums and I saw that Dwarf Champs aren't that good due to "Slow Animations" and it turned me off.

I'm thinking of Dwarf Guardian since I know they can use 2h Weapons and I wanted to do a Dwarf with a 2h-Axe.

Is it the same problem that their animations make their DPS bad?

PS does the Slow Animations still effect the Champ as Well?

No, I don't think slow animations are an issue with guardians.
Low dps always was an issue, which made soloing feel like hard work. That has been improved since I parked my guard so this might be an outdated observation.
