Stuck in "security check" (PayPal)

I am unable to make a real money purchase in the Lotro Store with PayPal. When I try it, a new window with PayPal login pops up. After I put in my email (or phone number), it starts a "security check" that never ends.

I tried it with both 32 and 64 bit clients, with both Google Chrome and MS Edge as standard browsers.

Are you opening the store in-game (little pop-up screen in the middle of the game window) or in an external browser? If in-game, try going into the options and setting the store to open in an external browser - it's under UI Setting, there's a tick box for External store.

I am having same issue but I don't see this option in the setting. Can anyone help? Perhaps a screengrab...
