    Thumbs up

Thanks for the log-out timer increase; that's a fantastic change.

The lottery looks much better, and it's exceedingly clear that you've entered. I can say your lottery tests went off without a hitch for my toons, and thank you very much for your generosity. I have fireworks to last me some time now.

While some did get updated, not all did.

I have a level 67 Hunter that is still showing as level 44. But I also have a level 22 hunter on Landroval that didn't show up before and now does.

    Straight to Website?

Is there a way to go to straight to the lotro.com website without having to go through the new sign up screen first?

If you have cookies disabled, no.

I'm confused as to how you can spend the last couple of weeks mocking people complaining about the 45 minutes logout and now act like you're owed genuflexions from the community.

If the increase is your doing then say so. Takes about as much time typing that as typing snarky remarks.

Still, that doesn't answer the sudden change of heart regarding security, which has been touted as the only reason for the short logout. Is it suddenly not an issue anymore? And if not, why not just put back the "remember me" function?

Yep, still seems to be a bit of hit and miss on data updates, I have several missing and incorrectly listed toons as well on various servers(level wise). It seems the "known lottery issues" thread has been locked and I could not find a new one. The lottery system seems to be evolving in a good direction however and I'm looking forward to more lotteries in the future.

I'm curious about this as well. On the plus side, this forum generally disappears from public view shortly before a new expansion goes into invite-only beta on Bullroarer. On the minus side, 11.3 is still being tested and is certainly (as of last night anyway) in a "not ready for prime time" state. So I'm curious if the Bullroarer forum was pulled too early or if 11.3 is being pushed out in its current state, in an updated but not tested state or just being rolled into update 12 (Helm's Deep).

That generally means the beta for the next expansion is about to happen.

Betas for expansions are usually invite only.

Bullroarer was closed this AM. 11.3 is a very tiny release with highly targeted changes.

Thank you for all the changes! It's the little things that often make for the best surprises. The lottery page update shows clearly who's doing what and the logout timer extension - woots!

Whoever says “I” creates the “you.” Such is the trap of every conscience. The “I” signifies both solitude and rejection of solitude. Words name things and then replace them. Whoever says tomorrow, denies it. Tomorrow exists only for him who does not seek it. And yesterday? Yesterday is Kolvillàg: a name to forget, a word already forgotten.

Credit where credit is due. I asked if we could make it look better and more obvious and one of our web devs took that idea and created what you see. I think he did a great job while still keeping it inline with the overly 'simple is better' feel of the new site.

    Changes are very nice improvements.

    Thank you.

Thanks also for negotiating a longer timeout period for the forums. The tension between security and convenience is tricky sometimes.

    Thank you for the Lottery

Thank you for the Lottery! If I read the results right, I won the Perlino steed and marks for all of the characters I entered. WooHoo!

Very, Very happy to see the extended time out. Unexpected after how many times we were told it would not change, but sounds like someone was able to give a little. There are other ways to secure log-ins like key fobs and/or smartphone apps, and IP tracking, but I guess we will take what we get.

Again, thanks for the 6 hours instead of 45 minutes. Much better...

    Red face

    Nice.
    Sooo.. embarrassingly...I'll say:

    After I read the notes...
I went to update my client, noticed it didn't update.
Came back and reread the notes.
Lengthier forum logged in time. Nice.

Logged in to see if there is a lottery...
Because logged out, I honestly can't see anything, just a bar,
but there seemed to be something about token lottery,
but all the rest of the text blocked by a bar.
Can't really be fussed anymore to log in, but I did try the lottery.
Checkmarked Entered characters- Looks very nice.
Doesn't seem to matter if I'm logged in or not. My browser is obsolete.
Should just wait til I get a new computer? Any bets on which gets upgraded first?
Browser or rig... new rig or just upgrade...
Too tuckeder out to care atm. But just pokin' by to say TY!

Huzzah! Thank you for these tweaks. I've missed the lotteries, and the green checkmarks are very easy to see. Getting the six hour logout time is the icing on the cake. A very pleasant surprise!

Very nice... I can see the lotteries even when logged out.

Of course, Farmer's Faire tokens being offered begs the question: when's the farmer's faire? I couldn't find it on the calendar (which unfortunately a couple users spammed with the same event for months upon months on end, cluttering it up and making it less functional... *shakes head*)

Thanks to Turbine for the six hours. That is more.. reasonable.
Thank Sapience for bearing the message to us.. (And SIGH at those who are complaining.)
Thanks ESPECIALLY to the web dev. Sadly, no lotteries I am eligible for atm, so I cant see his work. Bummer.
Still not sure about how much the rest affects me, but now I just hope that the list of fixes is not promises to be broken.
