Our kinship has sponsored a number of unique and exciting events including: Regular kin parties in the Shire on Thursdays , 8:30 to 10:00 PM, featuring games, music, pies, light RP, prizes, and fireworks. Party games include the Bad Joke Contest, Riddle Game, Hide-a-Hobbit, and more.. Weekly Raid Nights designed to be inclusive of all players, especially those who are new to raiding. These events are fun and friendly learning experiences. Slow and steady is the rule, with each of us learning from the others as we go along.. And more! [Joining:] Are you a hobbit? Are you a nice person, who wants to make friends and explore Middle-Earth with a wonderful group of other hobbits? Then get in touch! This might be the kinship for you.. All kinmates (other than Officers) are given the rank Kinswoman/Kinsman. You will never be booted from CH due to inactivity. If you are inactive for more than 100 days, you will be demoted to Recruit. But as soon as you log back in, an Officer will bump you back up to Kinsman/Kinswoman.. Here is a brief rundown of our kin to help you decide if FBF could be your new home: (1) - At our core, we are a group of people who have played together in some form or another since the beginning of LOTRO. We have a number of other players originating from other servers as well, not just Vilya, as well as other games such as LOL, Archeage, Rift, Star wars, Guild Wars, EQ, and plenty of others. (2) - We have been the top PvE kin, server first, on all tier 2 hard mode content from the watcher back in Moria up until the present on Vilya, Including North America second for Balrog lvl 65 and Original challenger of Saruman on both Vilya and Imladris. We like to make sure everyone’s main character is fully geared before everyone’s alts (when we actually have raid content to do). We currently run all raids on an EST time zone time, usually 9 or 10 pm. However we are looking to also recruit a lot of EU players and late night players, Oceanic etc. We want to Build on to our kin by having players online at all times day and night! (3) - We are also a very strong PvP kin. We enjoy going out on freep and creep and having a good time. (4) - We do require you to use Teamspeak for all in game raiding. You don’t have to speak if you don't want to, but you need to at least be able to listen. (5) - We would like to keep the members age limit at 17 and up. (6) - You must have at least 1, level 100 character as well, unless you are an old player returning to the game.. We want every member to be able to relax and have fun be able to BS and have a good time. We want people who are not afraid to speak up and people who enjoy PvE, PvP, leveling, deeding, you name it. I won’t lie though, if you are looking for role-play, that won’t happen here, Although we are not haters on anyone who does rp. The Alliance
(G, RPL, S) A co-operative kinship consisting of Men, Elves, Halflings and Dwarves dedicated to working together in the noble fight against those forces who would strip Freedom, Peace and Prosperity from all of Middle Earth. Dozens of active players of all levels and classes. RP events, group oriented, and social. All alts welcomed. Group activities as often as possible (although far from a hardcore raiding kin) and never demanding that members abandon solo pursuits. Mature, friendly, helpful, extremely laid-back kinship, looking for people who enjoy being part of a connected community. NOT: heavy RP, power players, raid-only kin, end-game-only, restrictive in character type, or providing every member with all boss gear (though folks are said to be helpful with crafting and kin runs are done often) ; http://alliancekinship.shivtr.com/ ; forum contact: Thornelas or Ktree921

This kinship also strives to be a resource for the Landroval RP community, providing a chance for characters to meet and mingle in a structured setting that they may not find elsewhere. Above all, they want guests to enjoy themselves. This kinship offers a fun, established, creative way to step into Tolkien's world for a few hours and enjoy all that it has to offer. Extremely impressed by the list, how you organized it, how you were able to research which ones are active or not and being able to find the direct link for every kinsite.

You must be a early retired, wealthy, bored hedge fund manager. If rep points existed still I would rep you.

Representing Strength and Honor I can say we are definitely roleplay heavy. All though that's just myself and perhaps Morzanx... I guess by majority... yeah keep it G.

Retired and bored? Never. Nor do I manage any hedges or funds. Just someone who loves Lotro and has since chosen to call Landroval home. And now I know where to go when I'm feeling Zeppelin. Thank you!

Randirheim here. For now I'll say we're still active- not as much as I'd like, but working full time and school full time leaves little chance to play.
We are all aspects of game play as well, and that kin-site link is very old. We normally operate through Facebook, or in-game, or forums. (Our enjin never really took off. : ) )

Thank you. Would you like the old link removed? Would you like the Facebook Page/Group listed instead? How can players get a hold of you? Also, the kinship organizes Crafting, Grouping (Deeding, Questing, and Raiding), PvMP, and Role-Playing? Is Role-Playing ‘encouraged’ or does your kinship run organized heavy rp campaigns and themes?

Thank you. Originally, I chose only to include kinships with websites because of the ebb and flow of activity levels. It may be less so on Landroval, but kinships come and go. In truth, anyone can create a website, the same as anyone can form a kinship or post a thread in the forums. I wanted something players could look at though as a way of comparing and contrasting groups. Would you like the Facebook Page/Group listed? How can players get a hold of you?

Yeah, the old link is a dud anyways. This is our FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/randirheim/. Facebook is fine, or the forums, or an in-game message. Not so much organizes, but we aren't set in what we 'are' as a kin. We're a bit of everything. We had weekly get togethers, then figure out what we'll do from there. Crafting is pretty much 'you need something? I haz.' Role-playing isn't kin related, no kin back story, but we have RPers in our kin.

As possibly one of the last remaining members of the Alliance of the Silver Star and the kinships that comprise it, unless another member of those kinships comes on these forums and contradicts me, I can say with little doubt that they are all defunct. Bloodline of the Dunedain, Company of the White Tree, Eored of the Eastmark, Wardens of the Deep, and Theryn En Forod. We had a weird, brief renaissance a couple of months ago but it disappeared as quickly as it came and I've heard nothing since from anyone.
Did you really think this signature would be worth reading?

Hi, wanted to add Flock of Smeagols to the list. The best site is here: tinyurl.com/flockguidelines

We're primarily a music/event kin, but we'd love to expand enough for skirmishes and raids, so anyone is welcome! Just bring a positive attitude and a love of music!

The Lonely Mountain Band is active and is now approaching 1000 total membership. Events for this year include "Spring Racing Carnival", "Weatherstock", "Winterstock", "12th Night Ball", with weekly and quarterly events such as "Alesandtales", "Windy Acres Ranch Horse events", and tons of music happenings.

    Website Participation

I would very much like to know if there are any kinships, role-playing or otherwise, that require or strongly encourage website participation as an effective means of better communicating and expressing wants, needs, creativity, how to better organize, etc. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Added. Thank you. I was interested in learning more about your group as I've not heard of it until now, but it seems your Public Forums (Bears of Berudh Kinship Discussion:
Find out what the Bears of Berudh are about, and how to join
) are only viewable to those who register to your site.

Some other kin sites on Enjin have had difficulties with spam bots in their public-access areas, so I decided to be proactive with mine and require registration. The registration is one-click (plus the possibility of a CAPTCHA, but that isn't up to me, Enjin kinda decides that all on its own) and isn't subject to any criteria - in other words, anybody's welcome to register for the public area of the site even if nobody in the kin has ever chatted with them before.

We are definitely a new kin, but we've had steady growth in the couple of months we've been around, and a lot of RP as a group. Our application process to join up is a little on the serious side, but other kins with similar processes have had success and we have too so far. I'm optimistic about our future!

This is an impressive list! Thanks so much for assembling it.

Just one note: my kinship is listed as The Wayfarer's Guild, but we're now called The Free Folk. (The link you have is correct.)

88 entries to date; 65 known active groups.
An additional code has been added to indicate when an active kinship's recruitment is currently closed.
    Thanks for the continued messages.
