    Re: Surviving the night

I just finished Rulers of the dead deeds for 3,6 and 12 man...

which gave me the surviving the night meta deed complete.

Still have bane of dark lord 3/6/12 to do, which requires you to kill 10,000 mobs.
Not really trying to get it done, just too far to go to bother. 3 man in particular would take ages

    Question Re: Surviving the night

What lvl do you unlock the survivel: barrow downs?
The thief of thieves, the hunter of hunters, The conner of conners... The always great and charming (not to mention good looking) Michael Black !

PS. This is meant to be said with a british accent; as Michael Black's is.... which is a thing when you don't live in England. If you do you don't have to change your accent to read this... lol

    Unhappy Re: Surviving the night

Does anyone know any good trick how to kill 250 mobs in Small fellowship run? if we kill only LTs we manage to kill about 30-35 of them. If we kill only regular mobs we manage to get about 150 until the end. 250 seems so impossible in 3men group.

You need to kill as many as possible as early as possible while they have lower morale. Run very DPS heavy, taking Herbalists as soldiers ideally. Really push it for the first 20mins. You'll need either a WDN or a CPT to kite later on.

As a MNS I suggest you go in red traits with a WDN and a CMP if you can. DPS as much as you can, dropping to heals only when you get a nasty selection of Lts or too much damage. A WDN with 5 blue, capstone and the ability to spam Conviction on the run makes life about 1000 times easier. A CPT can also do it, but in my experience have to be *really* good to keep aggro from a top-rank Herbalist or a CMP doing as much AoE as you'll want them to do.

Lts count for several kills towards the 250 btw, I think they count as 5.

Anyone completed this in last months?

Question: the lvl70 extra deed, how does it work now with different lvl cap? You have to do it precisely at 70?
Many philosophical problems are caused by such things as the simple inability to shut up.

Bumping this thread to verify that the meta deed (and therefore all the associated deeds) are indeed working. Over the past month or so, I've started, worked on, and completed this deed.

Anyone know any way of getting the Weathering The Storm deed? Originally, it worked at 65 level-cap (when Skirmishes were created) when you were able to start up skirmishes ABOVE the level cap, if I remember correctly. So you had to run the Survival Raid at level 70, which was levelcap+5. We are no longer able to create a Skirmish instance above our level cap.

I've been meaning to test and see if this deed can be completed by running it at level 70 with a level 65 character still, in case it's static at those levels. I've also been meaning to run it at level 70 with my capped 95 to test that as well.

    Thanks,
    Radian

P.S. All these deeds are very easy now because we are so OP. Even the "kill 250 mobs" one at Small Fellowship, which I know gave some classes some issues. Fellrotten - look me up next time your on and we'll run it!

Yay for the bump of a 4 year old thread! Seriously, how do you find people to help you with this?

I suggest this in my Kinship, and everyone groans and moans. I even posted something in the Suggestion forum about adding more rewards to Barrow-Downs Survival to make more people interested in going and doing it. Please post your comments to that here: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...Downs-Survival!

Beg! Beg, oh and beg. Although I have to say that strangely enough on Landroval there are enough random people that want to do this.

I was with a group of three people. I had a mini, GRD, and a LM. The mini basically healed only when necessary. Otherwise, he just stood there. The LM sort of did a little fighting, but more or less was a battery for power for both the mini and guardian. The guardian just focuses on slicing everything up.

When a LT would enter, The LM stunned it. Basically there isn't an issue until the third one pops. We had the mini keep fearing it. Basically, what it came down to in the end was the LM kiting the ones that weren't stunned. I think we had 4 and somebody's soldier got a 5th one we didn't know about and it killed LT and screwed us up.

That was a couple of years now, I'd like to try at the LV 70 one.

The deeds can still be progressed. A few months back we tried to organise a group to do it regularly to finish the few remaining parts of the deed we had left. Sadly we only ran it half a dozen times before the group fell apart though a mix of rl and other stuff. But yes If you can find a group to run it.

Bit of a necro, but I've noticed that the "Weathering the Storm" deeds are progressing now if you set the skirm to level 140. In case there are fellow completionists out there.
