Logged out while hitting submit.
On re-log in I noted that 2 threads where marked current with timestamps of 7:20 am Pacific. The one I was posting in and 1 other. All other threads marked read.
Also noted that <often> when the submit fails, another poster has added a reply prior to my submission.
Q: Could there also be a <ticket> collision in the database?
Ex: I open a reply and my post gets a database <ticket> of 11111. While I'm typing my post up another poster opens a reply and gets another <ticket> which shoud be 11112. If they submit before I do, they get my ticket <11111> instead of theirs in the database. Then when I finally get around to submitting, my ticket <11111> is invalid and my submit fails because it's already been used.
Why it kicks you out is still a mystery. Perhaps the database failure also invalidates the cookie too?
Whoever says “I” creates the “you.” Such is the trap of every conscience. The “I” signifies both solitude and rejection of solitude. Words name things and then replace them. Whoever says tomorrow, denies it. Tomorrow exists only for him who does not seek it. And yesterday? Yesterday is Kolvillàg: a name to forget, a word already forgotten.

If the LotRO staff could fix the auto logout error
That'd be great
I reached the point last weekend where I was logged out multiple times in one day while using Chrome. I switched to Opera (the browser), and have not been auto-logged out at all. Tonight it is taking like 30 seconds to load each page though. (Opera is actually a fast browser, and is the fastest for Tumblr, which is what I normally use it for.) For someone who is having lots of problems with this, try Opera and see if it also improves it or fixes it for you.

To be honest i am getting thoroughly fed up with this forum now, it's getting more and more constant with every day and it's becoming an absolute joke, unfortunately said joke has been heard so many times it is no longer funny, they really need to sort this out.
It's bad enough normally, but the last week or so there has been major packet loss on the QWest backbone network which is making all the forum issues 100 times worst, especially for EU customers.
6:36 PM, pacific time.
To be honest, I don't see why I'm even bothering with this. I have absolutely no confidence in Turbine's desire to create and maintain a working forum site.

The only reasons to continue are:
- Plain hard headedness
- They cannot say "oh it only happens a few time"
- They cannot say "oh it's only YOU"
- They cannot say "it doesn't happen"
- They cannot say "it's your PC"
- They cannot say "you logged in wrong"
- ....
I do not think they will "fix" this. iirc, they said they were creating a new or revamped forum/site.
I hope they have learned that if you customize something like a forum, wiki etc. it's best not to fire the people who did it because no one else can maintain the code base.
They of course are the Nazgul...

Searching for this thread by clicking on a bread crumb. Clicking the bread crumb did not take me to the next level of the forum it stayed at the top level. The second time I clicked the link, it logged me out.
