I was having trouble last night on Landroval, 2:00 AM or so. I was losing connexion to the chat server and the game froze up repeatedly.

I just noticed that Arkenstone went from down to closed. Some of the others are up. Is this a serious - closed for awhile problem for Arkenstone? All my good characters are there.

You mean all your good characters 'were' there.

    Currently experiencing a different issue

Had the same issues last night as others, that eventually fixed itself. Now on Landroval my issue is actually getting IN the game. Have rebooted, reloaded, everything I can think of but it still just sticks on the load screen after I choose which toon to log into.

Edit: After about 20 attempts I have now successfully entered the game.

Still happening on Crick. No chat channels and when I logged to try and re-connect, the game froze and now I'm getting "Cleaning up old connection" message when I try to log in.

We still working on this SSG or what?

I've been having problems all day (Landroval). I will go to log out, and it will just hang there. I will exit to the character screen and it will hang up on logging the character out. I will exit the game, and the next time I log in I will be stuck at "cleaning up old connection" indefinitely. Needless to say, it's annoying.

Just have to be patient, they stated they were looking into it and things do happen, it wont be the first or last time issues arose during a friday that affected the weekend.

Yes, this is affecting some far more than others with not being able to login, have a character connection, log out correctly, etc. Plenty ingame on Crickhollow: 592 non-anonymous players but Chat Server has been down again since 8:12:27 pm Servertime.

You can see since 2010 I've not posted much with some old posts deleted, just felt like posting today and especially this evening.

I was online last night (US) when Landroval had this issue. Eventually, it cleared, at least for some. I have been online today for some time. I've seen no issue on Landroval until the 7pm hour US Central Daylight Time. I'm guessing that they are having hardware failures. People will get called to contact the datacenter. Once that happens, staff in NJ will be put to work.

By the way, to fix the "cleaning up old connection" thing, this worked for me:

    https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...onnection-quot

But it was temporary. The next time I logged in, I got the same problem. And I don't feel like constantly sending things to the recycling bin just to play a game that will bug out again anyway.

    Luckily, there's also this thread:

I'm in the game, plenty of others too. Some are having issues where they cant, but that seems to be in the minority. 602 non anonymous players on Crickhollow as of this message.

Issues on Brandywine. Switched characters that never switched. Exited the client and logged back in and stuck on cleaning up old connection.

Game works until I try to enter a Session Play then everything freezes, character can't move, etc. Tried two different characters on two different servers (who both had Epic session plays to do) and same thing happened both times.

Posted first in another thread a couple hours ago. Login and not connected to chat channel. Can't log out until closing game with task manager. Cant log back in as its frozen cleaning up old connection (let it run a little over 10 minutes before closing it)
Just tried again but logged into another server. Seemed good but as i have no char's there closed game and logged into my account on Crick. Same thing. No connection to chat, can't log out without using Task Manager and currently letting game try to load cleaning up old connection, which i imagine won't work unless i switch servers again. Hope it gets fixed.
Windows system with all updates. Asus RoG Strix laptop just bought about 6 months ago. Game worked fine last night but not at all so far tonight.

    Still Not Working

everyone is still having issues with the game, yes crick said 602 players online, that does not mean those 602 players are not having issues I was online it showed I was online to my friend but I could not see friendslist mail or anything, chat server was down, couldn't teleport out or fast travel. and yes I know "be patient it is the weekend and they are working on it" it has ben going on for a couple days now. It just sucks is all,
i still can not log in. i logged out at 7pm central time to go to an alt (had not had the logging problem before this, just the chat friends list and mail) and haven't ben able to get back on since then. it is now 11pm central time and it is still stuck at the same screen for 15 minutes now. the cleaning up old connection,. the more info the devs know about the problem the more they can do to fix it.
