New "Legendary" server fails.

They had to open a second server because they screwed up and people could not get in. When they are touting 2k people as huge that is honestly sad. It pales in comparison to what numbers thius game used to get.... and if the server can not handle a couple thousand people.... it goes back to another comment a couple years ago about how powerful thse servers are and they can handle the entire community on one server.... so they lied to us.... again. Just another lie in the long list.

But anyway I am glad you are having fun, but please do not try to spin the reality of the situation because the only reason we have 2 servers, if because SSG was not prepared properly for one and used it to try and look good and people fell for it hook line and sinker...... Oh and if everything is so awesome why are people now asking for the 2 servers to be merged

Considering there is an over 400 player queue to get into the server today, and I have had old kinmates that have not played the game IN YEARS comeback due to this for the first time and are actually EXCITED
about the game again, I am going to go out on a HUGE limb and say it is working as intended.

Also, I do like that you have to pay something and be VIP to play.

So far my experience on the server has been far better than I predicted. The community is friendly, everyone's crafting for one another, the economy is sound, and it seems quite peaceful and not so frenetic.

If you don't like it, don't log in. It literally doesn't affect or hurt you.

Stop acting like SSG are a bunch of cackling wealthy businessmen out to harm you. They are not. The whole MMO model has been under threat from microtransaction, low-attention-span games for some time. I for one am grateful something still exists that takes some time to enjoy and has some depth. It doesn't harm me if someone else wants to use microtransactions and it doesn't ultimately harm the game.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere and I don't think anyone expected this, but Shroud, a popular twitch streamer, is currently playing the Legendary Server on Anor in front of 15k viewers.

Definitely the best possible outcome from the LS. I wouldn't be surprised to see Anor filled whenever he plays.

That is awesome anmd good for the game. It is going better than I personally thought it would and hey if I was wrong I was wrong and will admit it. I still say lets see how things are down the line but for the time being I am glad everyone is enjoying themselves.

I don't think he had an impact on the queues TBH. He has streamed for up to 30k but loses his regular viewers over time.

if they dont do something really really fast i aint continue trying
i dont intend to play in the legendary server when everybody is 50 or after the 1st 4 month period..........

Every time I have logged on since they have gone live, I have seen between 1,000 and 1,500 - sometimes MORE than 1,500 non-anon players online, and lower level zones are PACKED with people everywhere. I joined a kinship on Anor, there are 20-30 people online all the time, we have ran all-kin GB's in level 20s, it is taking the appropriate longer amount of time to get experience, (although some of it is mitigated again with experience bonus items from pre-orders, but the stats on that Mordor earring are just too good!) and also not importantly: There is not any trolling at all (besides the odd fellow that wants the 2007 code anyways) in world chat, and everyone is seriously willing to help each other.

Crafting prices are what they SHOULD be, 200 silver got me 7 red dyes, where on a live server they ask 1 gold for 1 dye because everyone is so bloody rich.... This server really allows people that have no money to start out, and still not be overwhelmed by prices in the AH like they would on a rich live server.

The only two negatives I have seen so far is that there are people who steal your quest npc/mob right in front of you after you have killed the 14 orcs to get to it, and similarly, steal the copper ore node while you are fighting off the mob that attacked you when you attempted to mine it first..... The launch of Anor has been marked by the "Great Battle for Copper Ore Nodes", as they are definitely more limited than Barrow Iron.

Other than that though, it seems that this server has been a pretty big hit with the community. And streamers, for that matter.
