I've never really payed attention to exactly what the instance finder would give me when I took my duo into T1 harrowing / roost. But today it defaulted to size 3 with no option for a duo. It's doable, but dramatically harder. Thoughts on what changed there?
Just noticed this myself and it wasn't in the release notes.
As someone who doesn't do group content any more I found this a good option for a solo player (whose gear isn't that good). Solo level is way too easy and duo provided a nice challenge. 3-man takes too much effort to run for the weeklies.
Yeah, I didn't see anything in the announcement either. So I suspect it wasn't planned. Hoping so anyway. Being able to duo keeps me from having to run it for all of my alts! Big time saver there.
I ran roost as what I thought was a duo with the wife last night and didn't notice it was a 3-man. I was wondering why it took so long to kill the dragon at the end. This does make it impossible to run a solo on the duo setting just to get armor drops for crafting boxes. You could turn the level down, I suppose, but then sacrifice max marks and medallions.
Happy to hear the duo versions of the instances will be back soon!
Technically, I believe the 3 person Tier 1 version is all but the same stats as the duo version that now is not available, so if that is an option for you, that could work.

At least for Harrowing of Morgul and Shadow Roost, they are similar. The bosses are somewhat more difficult in the three-man version vs the duo, but the trash mobs are much the same. T1 3-man is quite manageable for two people, just a bit more challenging. One well-geared player can do T1. Not sure about the rest!
