Possible Bug: Anyone buy a 6th inventory bag and not actually get it

So the Lotro store had the bonus inventory bag unlock 50% off. I was temped and purchased it, however the bag is still locked. I got a confirmation e-mail about the transaction. I retarted my client, nothing works. I logged a ticket with their online support website but I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem?

I had the same thing happen to me. I also filed a ticket. According to a post by Celestrata in another topic, they know about the problem and are working on it.

I noticed that when I clicked on the coin-icon for the 6th bag and the store comes up, the offer is for the 4th bag - as if the game/store doesn't recoqnize that I have bag 4 and 5 already.

I bought one last night and received it fine. I did however buy it by browsing to it in the store, not clicking on the icon by your bags, this may be the issue, it's taking you to the wrong product.

Ok, so, let me explain the situation with the 6th bag. What you guys have experienced when you purchased the bag and did not get it is the delivery bug that we currently have with the 6th bag. For this very reason we have pulled the 6th bag from the store until we can solve this delivery issue.

In the mean time, we ask that you guys file tickets with account support. You can do so by visiting http://support.turbine.com, clicking on the "Support Center" tab, and then clicking on the "Submit a Ticket" option. Make sure to choose LOTRO as your game and the "Account/Store" team as your support team. Explain that you purchased the 6th bag and did not receive it, and they will be happy to assist you.

Bag 4 and 5 are not on sale. They had the wrong price attached to them (995TP instead of 495TP). The 51% sale brings them back to their normal price.

Also the store doesn't recognise that you have bag 4 or 5 on characters that have recieved it because you are (or have been) VIP. You won't have the bags on characters you create after ending VIP-time, so you still have to buy the bags for them.

This all worked fine before the 6th bag was introduced, but it is giving trouble now, as according to the store many people don't have the extra bags required for getting bag 6.

Of course I can only answer to what I know myself. And I don't know what is happening in Turbine's office. I'll restructure my post to separate facts and suspected things:
That would have been a sneaky price increase.

Fact:
The normal price was 495TP before, now it is 995TP base price (which I suppose to be incorrect), which is reduced again to 495TP by going on sale.
I've never been informed about an permanent price increase for bag 4 and 5. I only knew bag 6 would be 995TP.

Predictions:
So I suspect this 51% sale to be some kind of hotfix for a mispriced item. This scenario is assuming the good will of Turbine, something I've slowly have been getting faith into again. (I'm a critic of some pricing tactics before)

Turbine could also be playing it dirty, and just increase the price of all the bags, hoping we wouldn't see it. This is something I strongly oppose. That's why I'm informing you. Technically those bags are on sale, but if the prices are raised first, you are still paying the same amount at the end. This is what I don't call a sale.

Btw: raising the prices to discount them to normal price is illegal in many countries.

Yeah, the whole thing smells rather fishy to me.

If 495 was the regular price before, I wouldn't have bought bags 4 and 5 (which I already had on my characters anyway) just so I could get bag 6. I would have waited until there had been an actual sale on the bags that reflected the correct before and after prices.

Thanks for the head up although I entered a support ticket the afternoon of the 8th (Monday release day) and have not had any email response beyond asking me for full Account details etc. I provided those details and more but no confirmation that it was ever received. So no idea what its status is.
I would appreciate knowing its status even if it is just to refund the 995TP and worry about 6th bag later

So bags were 495 before, Turbine raised the price to 995 and then put them on sale. Very dirty indeed.

You mean the 15th?

Anyway, about the bags, its obviously a glitch, which is why they removed the bag from the store. A glance around the forums shows this expansion has launched with a lot of serious, right-of-the-bat glitches. This is one of them. They are working on it and I'm sure they will handle all these issues one at a time so that no one ends up getting ripped off. Best thing is to wait for them to fix the bag and put it back in the store, and THEN see where you stand.
