True, but it's a matter of principle. And although it is used by a fair few companies doesn't make it just. To me it's the same as if a company said "we've got this shiny new code that will enhance your abilities and it will only cost you 60$ more than the regular version... ah yes, btw, it only works in Kazakhstan". What is basically said by Turbine to any non-US players is simply "screw you!" while I can appreciate Turbine's gesture of adding a movie ticket to legendary buyers I don't like that they sort of excludes a majority of the worlds population (which is the same as saying to parts of the community to take their bussines elsewhere... then again, I suppose us europeans, asians, oceanians, africans, south americans, central americans are just a PITA).
On the other hand... if they added a plane ticket as well, I'd buy two legendaries *hint hint*

I don´t have an credit card and (you´re right if you say you can pay with paypal...) paypal only accepts credit card for this transaction, too...

Credit card includes debit cards, that's how I just paid for mine.

Well, since i'm from a country that NEVER get any bonus of that kind, or that barely have any game translated to our language for me is a simply: dont need to buy it. If you're from a country that usually get this bonuses, you have the right to complain. I would just not call this "a matter of principle".

Sadly the flaws in RoR are still stuck in my head, as well as the fact that I bought but never actually finished wildermore simply because it felt so increadibly dull questing there.

We actually held the announcement and pre-purchase while we tried to work out the issues, but were still unsuccessful. We finally had to just accept that it wasn't going to be possible in Europe and go ahead and launch the pre-sale today.

Why wouldn't you reduce the price for non-us players then?

Oh just checked the cloak, so it is like a permanent 25% to all xp ? That is pretty neat would make the premium preorder worth it.

Have a vague recollection that Sapience said at some point quite some time ago that early access is not technically possible with the current architecture

I'm not from a country that gets these kind of bonuses. But to me it IS a matter of principle; you offer something to the buyer that only parts of them can use knowing full well this is the case.
Yes, one can choose not to buy it but considering the game is wordwide (as is the playerbase) there should be an option for everyone. There could have been e.g. a gift certificate to amazon that granted you a movie poster or a signed photo of Sapience, there could have been a code for Gamestop (which is present in a fair few more countries) that would translate to a movie ticket, there could have been a number of things that would have been available to all but alas, there isn't

I don't think it's right to charge the same price to non US customers because they are not able to use everything that comes in the legendary edition. Quite frankly Turbine should have included something that every customer could use. Even though I am a US player, this is just wrong to do this.

I disagree. It's just a nice bonus for our American cousins, they worked hard to try and bring it to the European market too but it didn't work out.

It's not something that anyone pays for, just an incentive.

And anyway after tax we pay more in Europe anyway.

And anyway after tax we pay more in Europe anyway.

So essentially we pay comparatively more for the legendary yet recieve less... and that doesn't strike you as unfair?

I think it's really the only thing that gives the the Legendary upgrade some value, anything else in there is nothing special.

Edit: Can someone that bought the legendary upgrade answer if the items are per character or per account ? If every character gets those items then i reverse my opinion then it is really nice value.

I don't understand what all this fuss is about regarding the free movie ticket. You do NOT get the ticket when you purchase the Premium Edition. You only get the movie ticket when you add on the "Legendary Item Pack" (for an additional FORTY DOLLARS!?!?) that contains a handful of items that are already available in the LOTRO in-game store. It's not much of a value-add.

Every toon on the account new or current gets the items.

The cloak slot is actually very nice and not available through the store. It has class specific stats and scales with level, it also stacks with the pocket for 50% on kills and gives 25% to everything, quests etc.

The new mount, armour and titles are of course preorder exclusive too and not available in the store. I made a screenshot thread if interested to see them together.
