"Death by Lobelia" *shudders* A fitting end for Horn.
But perhaps we can agree that Lorniel needs to encounter the vorpal Bunny in Carn Dum?

Hohoho, just stop there a minute.

You should know that such an argument will not hold before the Supreme Court of the United Federation of Planets - let alone before any Military Starfleet Tribunal.

The Prime Directive, als known as Starfleet General Order 1, clearly reads: "No starship may interfere with the normal development of any alien life or society." In none of its 47 subclauses does it state that the non-compliance of movement of cave drawings in another individual's dimension is a violation of this Prime Directive, at least not judicially in the wordings that you have just provided.

For your interest, in this case Starfleet Regulation 17.43 is applicable, namely that Starfleets ethical code of conduct is maintained in alternate realities.

You were however right that this was definitely a violation of the Temporal Prime Directive, for there has been sent information into an alternate reality that could possible have changed the history of said alernate reality. We will have to scrutinize this violation very closely.

So is the order of the Supreme Court of the United Federation of Planets.

In his time working with the Grey Company to spy out Dunland as they traveled through, he grew to realize that not all Dunlendings are nasty, horrible, despicable creatures, little better than orcs. Just most of them. Aethelbehrt does not like Nona, but he tolerates her because his countryman, Horn, does. He prefers to spend more time with Corudan; the two have bonded as friends because of Aethelbehrt's journey into Mirkwood with Sigilleth.

To me, Horn and Corudan are more believable characters. Nona might even be believable outside of Rohan. But the differences and prejudices the Rohirrim and Dunlendings have for each other (and honestly, the Dunlendings' reputation is pretty well-earned from what I've read of the lore), that the love story isn't very believable to me (As a side note, I totally saw Horn and Nona falling for each other the moment I brought her in to Stangard, wounded). What's actually worse (to me, anyway) is how fast we have to travel in order to accomplish all the things we've done. One of my kinmates worked it out, and it's pretty much impossible (or at least very, very improbable), given the modes of transportation available in Middle-Earth, to go from Grimbold's Camp where we have our dream in Book 6 back north, through Moria, to Lothlorien to see Galadriel, south to the Great River area, and on into Rohan in time to meet up with Eomer in Edoras.

I would prefer that the epic story chain get back more in line with the Grey Company or Riders of Rohan, and move away from the Horn/Nona/Corudan story. I enjoyed the journey south with the Grey Company (best epic chain since Volume 1: Books 1-8) far more than anything else in Volume III .

Keep in mind, in game at this moment, Eomer has been imprisoned at the command of Grima Wormtongue, which makes it February 30, TA 3019. Maybe March 1.

On March 2 (which presumably we'll see in HD), Gandalf arrives at Edoras, heals Théoden, and banishes Wormtongue.

On March 25, the Ring will be destroyed.

On March 6, which I also expect to see some time after HD launches, the Grey Company will rejoin Aragorn and his

Certainly I will be your friend!

Little bird was my friend as well and in true friendship I made sure the last sound little bird heard in Middle Earth was my beautiful song "Shing, shing".
I have tried to be friends with Horn and Nona but some force field prevents them from enjoying my beautiful song.
Hundreds of thousands of my friends like Orcs, Boars, Slugs, Brigands... creatures of every size and description have bid farewell to Middle Earth to the sweet melody of my beautiful song.

So come my friend TheMustelidian and let us enjoy a lovely tune!

I didn't say anything about being impatient.

My reference to the time is about how on Middle-Earth we pack in all the stuff we do into such a short span of time.

Assuming 30 days in February (Numenorean calendar, inherited and used by Men). Book 5 of Vol. III ends February 25. This is the night we have the dream that starts Book 6. We then go back north to Lhanuch (at least a day's travel), travel through Moria (a trip that, if I recall correctly, takes about two days, assuming you don't run into any trouble), and pass on to Lothlorien where we meet with Galadriel and Gandalf (by my reckoning, this would be February 28-29). They send us south to the Great River where we bum around the area. Minimum of one day, and that only covers the epic quest chain (February 29-30). Keep in mind that this chain has us going all over the Great River zone, so realistically, we'd be spending several days there. Nona receives a nasty sword-wound (though not from a Morgul blade), and we bring her *back* north to Lothlorien, where Nona recovers from her ordeal (minimum of one day, realistically more - February 30-March 1). Then we head *back* south again to Stangard with Corudan and Nona (wasting precious time as we look for Corudan's bow), pick up Horn, and head down the River Anduin. We camp for the night on the bank of the river and tell stories (1 day - March 1-2 at the earliest). We then have three books of quests going through the Eastemnet, plus another book in Wildermore, so you have to tack on at least a few more days, and we've now probably missed the Battle of the Hornburg. The only way it can work is if we ignore all the running around in the Eastmnet and make a beeline for Edoras. And forget about Wildermore.

I just hope that the Helm's Deep expansion let's us catch up a little time-wise, so that we don't have all this frantic running around. What would really be nice would be an official lotro time-line, so we can track where we're "supposed" to be in relation to the Fellowship. It gets muddled after February 25.

The epic story arc for Rohan should have revolved around saruman/wormtong and Gandalf/King Théoden.

The main arc drifts way to far from the main story for its own good. Having multiple long episodic arcs like Horn and Nona running at the same time would be great but it should not be the main story arc.

Moira @ release handled the story arc the best i think. The whole watcher part of the arc was great. Villain, obstetrical and new items to help aid in fighting said villain eventual setup for an epic encounter......

    Horn is going into Battle.

Nona has to hang with the other women and kids, cause lets face it, Tolkien was not big on female roles.

They have a passionate night before battle.

Horn dies in battle next day.

    Nona weeps then runs away.

Nona is pregnant with Horns child.

Nona meets Gun Ain, has a passionate night chick/chick tic tac toe, and gives Gun Ain a name.

Nona tells Gun Ain, it is her child, they go back to ice cave in Forechel, Nona gives birth, and all die from frost bite which is very sad.

Doesnt Horn die on the Battle of Pelennor fields?

I cant not wait to see that happen

    http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Horn
Horn (d. TA 3019) was a Man of Rohan who died in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.

Afterwards, the memory of his death as with others is lamented in the Mounds of Mundburg.

In The Lord of the Rings Online Horn is a major character, who accompanies the player throughout Riddermark.

I saw the romance coming a mile away. "Forbidden love" is just too tempting for writers these days not only because it's a trendy theme but also because it makes them feel morally righteous to encourage the breaking of "narrow-minded" barriers, especially in the name of love or whatever it is. Barriers exist for good reason and shouldn't be broken. A plot where people start off prejudiced and then gradually learn that they're wrong is boilerplate these days, not to mention unrealistic. It would be refreshing if it was reversed, where they decide to forego their prejudice only to realize that they had it for good reason.

Spoilers, I suppose, if you're not current on the epic at least to the Stonedeans:

Nona and Horn already had their "marriage" (you even were given flowers as part of it, though a lot of people didn't read that very carefully and realize what it was) and Nona's already pregnant (the soothsayer said so, so it must be the sooth). And yes, a blue name (MadeOfLions I think) already told us that it's that Horn.
