OK all, let's make it official. I'll be driving through the area on March 28 and will likely be hitting Rocky Mount sometime in the 8PM time frame. Maximilian was kind enough to make some calls and find a llikely location for some BBQ (a man can only drive so far before has hast to eat!).

Things to Keep in Mind.

• Everyone is welcome.
• Your tab is your tab. I'll dig up some LOTRO goodies, but your bar bill and food are on you.
• Everyone who attends will get a code for the "Well met" title.

Extra Life Meet and Greet Challenge!
Each meet and greet I bring a trusty donation bucket for everyone to drop a few dollars into during the gathering to help raise funds for extra life. Same deal this time around! Who'll put up the biggest numbers this year?

Last year Orlando raised $171 for Extra life at the meet and greet.
Boston raised $250 at the Pax East Party.
Buffalo raised $400+ at their meet and greet giving them a huge win!

I've never been but have been told its a great place to spend a weekend. Unfortunate for this trip I'm trying to hit a mid point on my drive to visit family in Florida. So this worked out to be a natural stopping point.

I can't recommend any in that area as I stay with my folks when I'm there but all of these are nice hotel chains.

The Smithfield BBQ restaurant we're meeting at can easily handle 20-25, so anyone else please feel free to join in!

I appreciate Whybird making a list of accomodations nearby, there are several hotels off N. Winstead Drive - same exit as Nash General Hospital which is on the south side of US 64 and it is the first exit east of I-95. The Hospital is easy to see from US 64 and there are plenty of signs for it. This area is only a few miles from the restaurant and where I'd stay if I was needing a place.

Depending on who feels up to coming, since we'll be traveling from East TN, (Not just to do the Meet & Greet but to visit family) and where one of my older kids will be during that time frame, I could have 2-5 people. Wish I could give you a better figure on that one, but 2 of them still don't know what they are doing and getting a straight answer out of the daughter is almost impossible. I also have a friend who lives there and who's family plays and I think all 4 of hers will be coming. So that's 6-9, as of current count.
