Leveling crafting in LOTRO is a bit of an undisguised grind, unfortunately. So, for many folks, the question becomes: Is crafting worth the grind?

Well, it has been for me. And what follows today and tomorrow is a little bit of why.

These are two of the top non-legendary crafted bows in the game. You may ask why anyone would want a non-legendary crafted bow when you can have legendary ones. Well, Guardians and Champions can use bows (and crossbows), but not legendary ones. And I, for one, want even my non-hunters to have good bows.

This is the level 60 True Golden Wood Bow, on the left the front view, and on the right the back view. It is currently the best non-legendary crafted bow in the game:


This is the level 56 Polished Mallorn Bow. It has a plain back which I didn't bother to show:


This is the stat comparison. Just keep in mind we are talking different levels of bows so the Mallorn bow is bound to have stats that aren't as good as the Golden Wood bow. At level however, that Mallorn bow is wonderful:


Even these screenshots are suitable for desktop wallpapers, although you probably wouldn't want to Stretch or Tile them.

I have been to the woodworker guild and they do not have the recipe for the polished Mallorn bow anymore. Has it been placed in another barter area? any into would be wonderful. Thanks!!

All thread is lost just because of photobucket...more than 20 pages with piece of art...really there is nothing that can be done?
It's just too sad that jeffm's work is lost in so disgraceful and sad way.
