Getting Remote Configuration Errors & Lotro.com

I was playing today, got booted on a loading screen, and now i can't get past the "Getting Remote Configuration" promt. Likewise I cannot get to Lotro.com, i've checked my IE to make sure it's not in offline mode, made sure my router has the proper ports forwarded. This happened the other day as well, it cleared itself up in time, any thoughts as to what the underlying problem may be?

    same issue

is Turbine down again, was playing then was booted off, and have not been able to log in in the past hour and a half? Is anyone else having this problem? Looks like the log in is down as well as all other sites, account and support.

    keep getting the message

"Error while accessing the remote configuration:
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected
    error occourred on a receive."

i ran the tracert command as found in this thread

    http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=107727

    and got some interesting results.
i can ping my provider, but it looks like the signal is getting lost somewhere past that. i wonder if the isp could be blocking lotro for bandwidth sake?
I have also tried connecting to www.lotro.com through all the computers in the house (there's several) and no dice, not able to connect to anything lotro related, although i can get to the forums just fine.......

I'd try rebooting and power cycling your modem and router you might be getting cached connection data. Aside from that check your firewall also and make sure that its allowing "turbinelauncher.exe" full inbound/outbound access to the internet. You may want to manually refresh the firewall too by taking the game files out of its list of exceptions/allowed programs and re-adding them.

If it keeps up though definitely open a support ticket could be something I'm missing that may be caught with some more in-depth troubleshooting.

i did that earlier, just did it once more to be sure, as well as deleting and redoing the inbound/outbound ports on the router. but the inability to connect to lotro.com from any pc in my house makes me think there's some other problem.

As far as opening a support ticket goes, i tried that, but being unable to connect to lotro.com puts a damper on that particular route.
