EDIT: Just double checked it, even set my keys to default so I know I'd be playing it 1:1 - it's correct. If it doesn't have a C or S next to it, it's just a regular 1-8. So if I have C76, that means C7 6, not C7 C6.
That's what I think messed me up. I'd do a C7 C6 thinking to save yourself time you put both #'s that needed to be C'd right after just one C.

Thanks for cleaing that up

Thumbs up Re: Song Compilation

These are the songs i've found easy to play.

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica

Fade to Black - Metallica

Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones

What it's like - Everlast

Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute - Chiodos

Crazy - Gnarls Barkley

And last, Promise from the Silent Hill movie

I'll be posting all these songs very soon with a few others.
All songs are maped out for Psomm's keymapping.
Sicharr, r4 WL - Meneldor

Fear me Dear, for I am Death.

-'s = quarters, no -'s = eigths

8888-C6-C7-8-C78
5-4-5-4C7-C76-C76-6-5-4-3-42
5-4-5-4C7-C76-C76-6-5-4-5-C78

EDIT: Translated from my keyboard to standard note representations.

If WoW implements this kind of functionality, I'd never leave it. Ever. Playing real time with a keyboard for people is like crack to me.
Here's FF Victory for all of you who don't want to take the time to translate it into psomm for yourselves in psomm format

IIII-6-7-I-7-I
T-R-T-R-7-7-Y-7-Y-Y-T-R-E-R-W
T-R-T-R-7-7-Y-7-Y-Y-T-R-T-7-I

The correct way to play it you'll figure out and this isn't a representation of how fast each note should be done.

qqqwertre
aaasdfgfd
(qe)(qe)(qe) (wr)(qe)
(ad)(ad)(ad) (sf)(ad)
erterweqw
dfgdfsdas

Then, well the song gets crazy. I dont have it in me to map the rest.

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
Correct Intro:
s5-s3-s3-s2-7-s2-s3; (x3)

Unfortunately you can't play the whole thing with the correct intro.

Messed up Intro:

5-3-3-2-c1(maybe1)-2-3(x3)
c5-c5-c5-c5-c5-c5-c5-c5-c5 2-2
3-5-7 3-5-7 3(x2)
3-5-s2 3-5-s2(x2)
----------------------------------------
Eiffel 65 - I'm Blue

6 - c7
|: 2-5-c7-8-6-c7-5-c7-s2-s3(this note is off,can't be helped)-5-s2-s1-c7-2-5:| (omit 2-5 on last repeat)
7-1-4-5

Re: Song Compilation

I do not mean to complain, but...

I can 10-key faster than most people can type. I have my music set to play with 1-8 on the 10-key. Is it possible to also post the 1-8, c1-8, s1-8 in addition to the q-i, a-k, etc. Not everyone finds that style easier to play.

Thank you.

Re: Song Compilation

Can someone correct me if i've done wrong? I'm not really music-oriented...

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army (bass intro)
3 35321 c8

Is that it?

I used the tabs online. I used
a7 a7 d5 a7 a5 e9 e7
then I port them to a fret board map =>
E E G E D C B
then i "translated" them using a note scale on LOTRO-Wiki, ending with
3 35321 c8

So... Is it ok? (I can't test it, i'm at work... ... yeah, at work, and i've time to do this...)

Re: Song Compilation

Tried to find an easy melody to convert and chose this Hack Sign theme

Yuki Kajiura - Fake Wings
----- Psomm mapping
H F G H G D F G F S D A S H
H F G H G D F G F S D F D D S

This is as far as I could make it. There aren't any high enough tones to continue. At least not what I could tell, but I'm not very familiar with notes and such so please correct me if I'm wrong

Been working at it a bit, got the intro bit I think. Hard to do without any notes that can be held.

Hello Zepp (Song from saw) (Psomm's keymapping)

sdf dsd dsdfg

(play the close together notes quickly one after the other)

As for the long drawn out notes the best I've come up with is

(rt) (er) (1e) (1q)

(rt) (ty) e (1q)

Unfortunately, we haven't reached a concensus about how to post scripts here yet. So when you see a script with numbers, it's probably the default keymapping.

I'm suggesting we wait til the devs "big patch" - which may offer some clues as to a preferred keymapping - before we start smacking anyone upside the head.

Not sure if it's been done, but I'm trying all the Ocarina tunes from Zelda..

So far I have

s(137 137 878753 3123 3121) I "think" it was the song of time. The final note is a bit off. Hold shift for the entire thing

Re: Song Compilation

I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys (song from departed) using Psomms bindings. To figure out how to get the beat right listen... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-64CaD8GXw

ewewe5t5ew-ewewe5tu-ewewe5t5ew-uytyt5t5we (repeat)

If you want to double string it, just play the key below in unison with the original. EX - (ed)(ws)(ed)(ws)... It's just harder to do. I also suppose if you get another higher pitched instrument to duette with you it should sound awesome. Like you play the tune 1-2 times, then they play it so it's varied like the song.

Short version of the LOTR Theme - ewee-yuiuytyuyt5e (repeat)

I am also working on Rolling Stones' Paint it Black, but I only have the intro so far, I am working on getting the rest of the song, but not so sure it's possible without the 3 full octaves.

I post with the default keymapping layout because its a universal standard that anyone can pull from. I personally use a q-p a-l z-. setup.

Re: Song Compilation

Edited..I don't know what I was smoking last night but it's fixed now.

The original zelda theme. Keys are as follows:

1 - 8 ASDFGHJK
9 - 16 QWERTYUI
17 - 24 ZXCVBNM,

feffffffeffffffaaaaaaaaaa
faffghuzzzwevvvvewewzzuuzwzuyy uzuygghjxz
aaaaaaaaaa
faffghuzzzwevybczwvczzwvczhuwz yfgghjxz
aaaaaaaaaa

Not too hard to play. I know some zelda freaks have been dying to play some zelda music, so here it is. Enjoy!

I'll post some more songs in the future. Other songs I'll have for you are:

Final Fantasy 7 - Aerith's theme
Final Fantasy 7 - The other side of the mountain
Final Fantasy 3 - Terra's theme
Final Fantasy 3 - Celes' theme
Tales of Symponia - Starry Heaven
Full Moon wo Saga####e - Eternal Snow
Kansas - Sweet Home Alabama
Beethoven - Moonlight sonata
Beethoven - Fur Elise
Enya - Evenings Fall

I've worked on these for a while now and decided to finally start sharing them with you guys. It'll be a while until I post them all (Some of them are looong and complicated) but if you have any specific requests let me know and I'll post those first. I'll also be working on more, so if you have requests for me to figure out certain songs let me know and I'll do my best (though no guarantees..some songs you just can't play with the music system as it is now.)

Hope you guys find this helpful.

good song, but can you post in STANDARD (1-8 C1-8 S1-8 or 1-24) for your songs? alot of stuff to translate there, alot easier for the poster to put numbers from the get go.
