Lord of the Rings - an Original Poem

I thought it'd be cool to make my first post on LOTRO something that would leave an impression,
Having had to write poetry in the style famous poets for school, I chose to use Lord of the Rings as an influence
Unfortunately, without having found a section for poetry, I figured I'd post it here (:
    Move the thread if necessary!

    Here I stand
In place of one who once fought
So that as the campfires burn
A dancing shadow, like a wraith
    Envelopes the surrounding men

    The melancholic breeze
    Sifts slowly through the dead
Between the honored fallen and their brethren
    Tales of valor and loyalty
Hope fades from those who watch the shooting stars
    Unseeing
    Resting on the heavens
That are forever out of reach

In the name of the White Flames
The wraith forsakes here and now
The Fear of the East, demonized by the West,
The once great statues of the Faithful
    Broken are the heirs
    Broken is their line

Ah, mine people of the sea,
Why have you lost your prayers
Can it be believed very hope of the White Citadel’s
    devoted,
    Like the broken blade
Fight for the truth no longer
Believed that dreams, like a shattered shield
No longer guard you from darkness forever,
Leaving confusion and uncertainty in place of gospels

    I look for you
    In every dream
    Every fire-lit dawn or dusk
I look for the first light of the fifth day
Every sound the mounts strike upon the ground
I look for the forest’s strength in life
The doves formed by dancing light upon the Mallorn trees
I look for our tale of devotion
Etched into the graceful star that was once yours

If fresh blood could light the way
    The braziers
Upon the halls of mine fathers
Would burn not by oil, but mine soul

    I must admit
    That I hoped
    Hoped for nothing but hope
    Who wishes to wander sleepless
Or become as the once-corrupt was
Watching the noble and leafless White Tree
Bear no fruit at the world’s ending.
Even if the gore-crows alighted on its branches
It can do naught but watch as its fallen
    Are devoured, and not even
Its Awoken brethren may venture from their woods.

    I am a man
    I need love
I long to give you what you seek
But it is but a shadow of a hope
    Waiting within the homely valley
For the light to reach me
On the shores of this land
On every ship venturing into the West
    I become a refugee
    This fear of my nature
Has now become the whole cost of being Hope.

    I have sacrificed many times
    In my life
But I have always loyally kept to
The love I gave as a child
So that a world that cannot understand
    An eternal love
Has still not hearken to me

    Here I stand
In place of one who once fought
    I have no other choice
    And where I fall
    Darkness will rise
As the fate of the Free rests upon me
    Seven Stars watch it unfold

    Perhaps one day
The fire will ember into white ashes
    To barely glow upon
    The forest of towers
Of the lieutenants of the shadow
    Gore-crows cry out impatiently
    Fresh meat

    Enjoy (:
