itd be cool to have a heavy rock song to play on the lute

I know its extremley hard to make the lute sound like a electric guitar but even in a softer sound a heavy rock song can still sound good :P

Someone was going to make the James Bond theme for me. Anyone got it? Also any of the movie themes like: goldfinger, diamonds are forever, live and let die, and so on.....

Also what about Pirates of the Caribbean.

This ABC stuff is great! It seems like it's been around for awhile, too bad I didn't discover this sooner.

It's nice to have your Fellow mate take out his Lute and strum a few songs - while waiting to get your head smashed in

I have gotten problems for both Stairway to Heaven and Concerning Hobbits. The first error was unexpected token error. The second was note is too low. These are both songs posted on this thread, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Anyone know how to fix?

There were several on previous pages that were just midi to abc converted but not edited to be compliant with LotroABC. A token is a symbol in the ABC notation that the system doesn't recognize. You can see a list of what works and doesn't (gives you an error) here http://forums.lotro.com/showpost.php...2&postcount=25

For those that post their ABC songs, it would help the ones that can't do their own to first test them in the game. I know how frustrating it can be to have that excitement for a song only to be saddened when it gives an error you don't understand. It gave me the initiative to learn ABC and just hitting my 100 mark of making LotroABC songs I am far from proficient, but still learning. But many don't have my time to spend on ABC, so again, test your songs first, the joy you give others for working songs is .. well there aren't any words.

If you note the note at the end of the post, those songs (in red) use unsupported constructs and won't play in game. I left them in for history (they were posted before we had access to the ABC player) and as an exercise for anyone who wanted to try their hand at fixing them, and learning a little more ABC (and music in general) as a result.

What I would like to see is one for the guitar solo in "Claudia's Theme" from the movie sound track Unforgiven. By the way if you did not know Clint wrote the song himdelf

Here's part of "Big Blue"; From that nintendo racing game that has that captain falcon guy. You may recognize this from super smash bros. melee. I've worked all day on this and can do it perfectly on guitar but just can't seem to get it right here . Most of the stuff is right though; but the timing's pretty bad. Maybe one of you can correct it. This was VERY hard to figure out. And in reality I'm not sure the "M:" is 4/4.

*I got all these from the same site and edited them to work with LotRO. I have a few more that I still need to make sure they work. The only thing that sounds off to me is the triplet notation that we have to use. It doesn't quite cut it but it's what we have for now. Also, the second one I had to put a space in the K: D because it kept forcing a smiley. Is there a way to not let it do smileys in these boards?
