Perceived threat on belts

I'm just unlucky or is nearly impossible to have a lvl85 2age belt with at least 3% perceived threat?

I crafted 7 belt and I got 5 with 1% and 2 with 2%. Is the first time in years I have such problem with belts...

At level 85 the perceived threat is so low by design or what?

Pretty much ''dumb'' luck.... sadly...

I've been lucky and got 5% personally... crafted another for a kin mate and he got 6%...

Symbols are dropping left right and centre in BG now so keep trying

To date, I've made 34 guardian belts of the second age. Not a single one has been greater than 3% perceived threat. Save yourself from the madness. Settle for a 3%. If I hadn't already made 34, I'd settle for a 3% now... but it'd seem like a waste of 34 belts to settle for a 3% now after making so many. So I'm continuing to try and hope I get a 4% or greater. Good luck! But I advise on settling for 3% if you get it! Save yourself from this madness!

i think the random number generator is pretty &&&&ty.

a friend of mine made 13 belts before he got a 6%. His next best was 3%.
I made 2, and got a 6% on the second try.

You'd think.... the odds would be 1/6 for any given number, but they don't appear to be.

I got a +3% on the one I crafted for myself, the 3 I've crafted for kinnies have all turned out as POS +1% though, worst part of the LI grind today is getting decent passives really.

All my belts that ID with tanking legacies I have only seen 1%. When I build my OP belt and it has OP legacies, that's when I see 3% or greater.

Yes people enjoy running with the best of the best gear, or being seen wearing the best of the best gear, though when you examine Perceived Threat closely, if the extra few percentage would have made that much difference to aggro management, your raid team may have bigger issues.

As for the distribution of passives, based on all anecdotal evidence, we can safely assume it is not an equal chance to receive 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% or 6%, since it seems a weighting system has been used that results in more lower numbers.

Overarching point: Effective Aggro management is a team focused activity more than a few extra percent on perceived threat passives so good team + good tank > a few extra % on passives.

To all those saying they have got belts with 5 or 6% on them, are they definitely level 85 belts? I have yet to see a single belt higher than 4% on my entire server and was curious whether this was the new max, a new bug, or a real &&&&&& % chance to get higher passives.

I can't understand why they added 2% and 4%...not once have I ever seen either of those percentages until RoR. It kind of seems like they adjusted the chance to get a higher % as well so 95% of belts are are in the 1-3% range. Oh well...

I'm sure what it's going to come down too is, if you'd like higher % crit rate you'll have to buy some sort of scroll from the Lotro store. Hate thinking like that but it's been the case with about everything else.

Yeah seems Perceived Threat % on 85 SA Belts are really low.

I crafted 1 got 3%, tried for higher got 2%

(Kept 3% made it into my tank belt)

Friend has crafted 10 Belts all 1%

another friend I gave a Symbol to awhile back got only 1% as well.

not many on my Server that has a Belt above 3% & they only 1 I know who has a 5% on my Server is a friend of mine

=/ just super super luck I guess.

Also having rubbish luck with perceived threat so I am starting to build a little collection of belts, am new to guard so was wondering if I got lucky and actually got more than 1% how does it affect if you use swap belts? I have seen a few people suggest swapping for catch a breath for example, if that was on a 1% belt could you potentially lose the aggro as your perceived threat drops? Yes I know if that lost the aggro I probably have bigger things to worry about, but still is nice to know :P Would just like to put some of these things to some use!

I've had 2 belts crafted for my guardian, and both had +6% perceived threat. I know most good guardians on my server, and I've seen quite a few of them running around with 5/6% belts aswell. I suppose Evernight is lucky

After somewhere between 42-44 belts, I've given up. I never got one higher than 3%. Those with 4% PT or higher are extremely lucky.

3 belts crafted all 3 have 1%... such a waste of resources
I'd settle for 3% but I would always pursue one with 5 or 6. Ofcourse it's not required for tanking but anything that makes it easier to hold aggro means the DPS department can do more.

the passive risk with a guardian belt is really annoying, it is the only 2nd age LI that I can think of that has this important of a passive on it. it is why i never bother wasting a first age symbol on a guardian belt.

took about 7 belts for me to get one with 6%... those of you with 40+ attempts at making one i feel for ya.

I heard about some rumours of Guardian's Belt's Perceived Threat Bonus is not working.
Someone told me Turbine admitted, that it is not working properly since SoM. So Level 60 Belts would be the last ones with proper PT Mods on it working.

Could someone please verify this Information?

there was a bug a long time ago involving perceived threat, i think it was when SoM was released. from what i remember threat stance did nothing if it was active before you entered combat, you had to toggle it on once combat had started in order for it to work properly. it has been fixed for quite a long time though.
