Sounds brilliant! I may have to make a character for this server too (I have one on Laurelin just for the green dragon meets, sadly a tad neglected by me of late).

The Fellowship Walk is about to start with Frodo's Birthday Party on Sunday, 22 September, 2013 at 2pm on the Landroval Server. The Shades will kick the event off with the first in game performance of this year's official Fellowship Walk song, Walk the Path. This song was composed by Achazia with myself writing the lyrics. If you would like to hear the song beforehand, there are two You Tube links. One on Achazia's YouTube channel and one on Lilikate Buggin's YouTube channel.
Links can be found at http://www.lotroplayers.mymiddleeart...walk-the-path/

The party promises to be fun with Animal House also performing, a fashion parade, trivia and fireworks. Please come and bring your party spirit

The actual Fellowship Walk will kick off on Monday, 23 September at 7pm from Bag End. We will be kicking the journey off with a 21 Spear Salute to our beloved hobbit Warden, Pineleaf and from Bag End, we will be heading west before turning south and heading to Greenhills where we will camp.

Weta NZ (Weta Workshops) have been great this year and has donated a Replica One Ring, 1 Bagshot Row miniature and a Disturber of the Peace Art Print for us to auction. They also donated a parchment map print of Middle Earth which will be this year's Treasure Hunt prize. Also, they are supplying us with a special discount code for anyone who wants to purchase anything from their site during the time that the Walk is underway.
But wait there's more! Finally the Weta team have offered to pay all international postage to the winners. That is a huge saving for us and a great offer from them.

Greenman Gaming has also come to the party and has donated two (2) digital copies of Grid 2 to auction. These will be auctioned separately and as they are digital downloads, I will email the winners the codes.
There is lots more stuff donated by players as well. A more comprehensive list will be posted on Lotro Players website later this week. If anyone would like to donate for this year's auctions, please email me at Fellowshipwalk@gmail.com
This year's Fellowship Walk competitions have started. There are four competitions listed and they are a Video Competition, A Poetry Competition, A Screenshot Competition and a Cosmetic Competition. The Cosmetic Competition has three categories: Best, Worst and Funniest.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our guest judges for the competitions this year as well. Goldenstar, Spridra and Kaleigh Starshine. It is only through the support of others that we have the opportunity to make this year's Fellowship Walk a success.

There are lots of people who we will thank over the coming the weeks, so please stay tuned for that on Lotro Players.

The route we will be taking has also now been released. Be sure to check out Lilikates videos on the complete walk from Bag End to Rivendell and also her video on the Creatures to see from Bag End to Crickhollow. I did announce another competition in regards to the creatures you see. What I have asked is for those who are interested to make a list and email it to us. The winner will receive some housing items and some gold.

As with any event, the details are now being finalised and published. For all things Fellowship Walk related, please go to http://www.lotroplayers.mymiddleeart...ellowship-walk

A full itinerary of the Fellowship Walk will be posted later this week as well. Please remember that all times are Server Time (EST) and that this event is hosted on the Landroval server.

Thank you again everyone for your support for this event. I am hoping that it is a success and that we manage to raise the $5000 we set as our goal for this year.

    Have fun

Rolled one, made level 30 - a rather welcoming server, thanks for that! Now it looks as if I will have to work during the walk itself. I wish you a fine event in case I can't make it!

I have an alt on Landroval especially for these amazing player events.

The kick off party last night was great. Lovely music, and the quiz was great fun.

Unfortunately the walking part (7pm) translates to 1am in the morning for me so I don't think I will be able to make it. My old body needs it beauty sleep

Still I wish you all the very best for the event and it's very worthy cause.

I wish to thank every Elf, Human Dwarf and Hobbit who came out to the Party Tree to celebrate with The Fellowship Walk Organiser. All at LOTROPlayers.com are overwhelmed with the positive response we experienced.

Tonight it is all about the Walk! We have raised enough pennies to walk from Bag End, Hobbiton to Green Hill Country, Tookland.

We leave just after 7.00pm after our /salute to Pineleaf Needles. We have a company of Wardens leading the /Salute, but Pinelily, my new Warden will have uniforms aplenty for those who wish to consider themselves a Warden for a short while.

Our Wardens will be standing face to face along the path just west of the entrance to Bag End.

Remember Big Folks to the back, Little folks to the front.

    All are welcome!

There are two competitions that you may like to be aware of:

A "spot the creature" and a "Treasure Hunt" here are the links:

I hope I will be forgiven for posting again so soon.

For all of you wondering which way we are walking, there are detailed maps. Click Here.

Here is a Screenshot video I made of the entire route!

Many hours were spent matching the narrative from Tolkien to the in-game landscape. I think we did rather well

All at LOTROPlayers.com look forward to seeing you at Bag End on the 23rd Sept at 7.00pm (est). (A late one for me too)

Next Saturday we continue our walk from Green Hill Country at 2.00pm (est).

The Warden salute was impressive as was the sheer number who attended. Here is a shot of the party taking a break at the first leg of the walk.

LOTROPlayers.com Information, competitions, live streaming of this event, auctions.

This Post has details about The Fellowship Walk and Forte’s Scavenger Scramble!
On Saturday the 28th September at 2.00pm Server time. The Fellowship Walk 2013 will continue. We stopped last Monday at a camp in Green Hill Country. We will meet at this same camp.

I have confirmed the co-ordinates of this camp as: Green Hill Country 33.5s, 69.1w.
Here we will gather and listen to music. I, Lilikate will announce the opening of the event with news on our fundraising total. I shall also be giving some general information about the walk. At this point I will re-check the total to see if we have reached a new milestone. Then I will announce how far we will be walking. At the moment I write this article we have raised $500 which means we can proceed to Woody End. I hope we can raise a little more and manage to get as far as Crickhollow! Please donate if you can.
While we are at our starting camp please look out for our Fellowship Walk Vendors, who will be more than happy to serve you with all your food, drink and pipe-weed needs! All completely free of charge, although we will gladly accept donations to the Fellowship Walk Trivia Prize Fund.
    Fellowship Walk 2013 Tips:

    • We will be strolling quite casually! You have all been voting for your preferred method of walking.
    • I would still ask for the mounted guard to ride behind the walkers.
    • Please do not surge ahead of Lilikate the lead Walker. Andang a taller organiser will be at the front of the line with me, he is easier to spot for all you far away strollers.
    • I will be using both /say and /regional channels to communicate whilst giving announcements at the start and end of the walk.
    • During the walk I may stop, and use emotes and /say to point out or respond to some event or unfolding situation. Please relay to those behind you any drama that unfolds. Keep your wits about you and your eyes open.
    • Any Ninny-Hammers who get lost will be thoroughly /scolded by Lilikate.
    • We have a very capable security team who are all dressed in a fine red outfit. It can be confusing to walkers and staff alike if others are running around the walkers. Some walkers may even begin to follow you! Which is how we got into the pickle last monday!
    • I know this portion of the walk is a very short one, but I hope you are all able to enjoy the gathering as much as possible. Remember it is all for a very good cause! If you’d like to walk further I can only /pointtoward the donate button.

At the close of the walk we should arrive at the Elf Camp, near Woody End.The co-ordinates: 33.4s,66.4w.Here we hope to have a little more music, and a closing speech from Lilikate. You can leave us if you choose, now I would like to tell you about another event which is due to begin just after the Walk finishes.
    Forte’s Scavenger Scramble!

My good friend Fort has organised a scavenger hunt/race for us all to enjoy. It begins at the Camp where we finish the walk. (If we raise more money and finish at Crickhollow, the start and end of this event will also be at Crickhollow). After a brief introduction with details and rules, the first clue will be read aloud. This sends you to the 1st location.
    Instructions:

    • There are 10 locations and clues. When you reach the first location, /hail the Clue-keeper. (We ask you to form an orderly que in-front of the clue-keeper if there are many people).
    • They will be give you an item (keep it) and your next clue via /tell.
    • That clue will lead you to the second location where you will /hail the next Clue-keeper, They will then initiate trade, you will give them the item from the previous location, they will give you a new item (keep it), then your next clue via /tell.
    • You will continue this through all the clues till you finish with the last item.
    • The winner is the first player to get the last item, and return to Fort who is at the starting place by Woody End.
    • The clue-keepers will decline to trade with folks out of line, and others with the wrong item!

    The Prizes Are:

    3rd Place: 10 Fireworks, 10 Pies, 10 Ales, 10 Pipe-weed, Small Bear Rug and 3 Gold
    2nd Place: 2nd Place: 30 Fireworks, 25 pies, 25 Ale, 25 Pipeweed, Birch Tree and 5 Gold
    1st Place: 1st Place: 65 Fireworks, 50 Pies, 50 Ale, 50 Pipeweed, Red Chair & 10 Gold (Now That’s a Party!)

Come and have fun with Fort and his clue givers! You could end up with quite the prize purse!

Its such a blessing to be a part of this worthy event. On the road near Woodhall, we found ourselves being followed by, gulp, Black Riders!

    Greetings,

Last Saturday we finished walking and had a game of "How many players can we get into Tom's House before the server goes crazy?" That was fun! Oh! the answer was about 60
At the time of writing this guide we have not raised enough funds to continue walking. But we have raised $1135, making us fairly close the total for the Barrow Downs walk.
Here are our targets: $1250-The Barrow Downs $1500-Bree Town $1750-Midgewater Marshes $2000-Weathertop.
I shall be optimistic and hope for a total of $1500. Who wants a party on the Barrows? Miserable place that is!

We will meet at Tom Bombadil's House

If you have trouble getting there, please say so in /regional and someone will escort you. We have a fabulous security team!

    You will need:

A Slappy-Fish or Handy Emote (optional)
A wise bit of advice for a silly hobbit-lass. (optional)
    A short poem (optional)

    The Plan:

    From
1.30pm: The Beaux Chapeaux will be playing for the gathering crowd.
2.00pm: This Saturday we begin at Tom's house. Announcements by Lilikate and Other LOTROPlayers staff.
2.15pm: Begin our walk along the road to the Barrow Downs, we will be passing the small camp of brave souls but we won't be stopping.
2.20pm: Enter the Barrow Downs, as we pass Lalia the day dreaming, cloak leaving young hobbit. I will form the head of a cue. This cue will dispense sound advice punctuated with a handy emote. The walk will move slowly onward until everyone has had a "turn". Pineleaf will be recording this special event!
2.30pm: We will continue to our Barrow where we will review our total amount raised. Hopefully we will have managed enough donations to walk onward to Bree Town. If not we will have more music and a few poems here at the Barrow. (chilly).
2.40pm: Being the optimist that I am, I will continue the plan. At 2.40-2.50 we will start walking to Bree.
3.10pm: Arriving at the Prancing Pony we will offer the stage to anyone with a shortish poem to share. Lilikate will give closing announcements with other LP staff members.
3.20pm: After the Poetry event the band The Beaux Chapeaux will play for us for another 30 minutes.
    3.50pm: End of Event.

Please be aware that all plans have a habbit of going terribly, horribly, and utterly wrong. In this circumstance prepare to follow Lilikate as she improvises!
Keep calm and eat the free pies!
If you have any good screenshots send them to
lilikatebuggins@gmail.com I may feature them in my after event article!

Don't forget the Treasure Hunt with this wonderful Parchment Map as the prize!

    Titles.

Turbine so kindly gifted the fellowship walk with title codes to hand out to participating players.

An Unexpected Traveller. Screenshot by Lilikate Buggins.

The usual method to claim a code is to email this address: Fellowshipwalk@gmail.com, send me an anecdote about the Fellowship Walk you attended. Also you can just write in tell me what a wonderful organiser I am, or send in virtual pie.

You can also send a note through the quick post Lilikate on the Landroval Server giving your anecdote about the walk. Compliments and Pie also accepted!

I would like to extend this offer to players unable to join our LOTRO event: If you make a donation to Child’s Play, leaving your characters name and server in the comments section I will send you a code through the LOTRO mail system. Minimum donations of $1.00 will be accepted.

I will send you an in-game letter with a code and instructions (In English). I will be less able to assist those German, and French Speakers but I will do my best to help you.

    Final Words:
I hope we have a huge gathering of players tomorrow. We have prepared “drama” for you all to enjoy. Please come along even if you have not been before.
A few things I would like to stress, although this is a charity event where we are trying very hard to reach our goal of $5000. Our LOTRO event is open to all players, we would feel rotten if players stayed away from all our prepared fun just because they are unable to contribute money. Please join in! and remember LOTRO is a game, lets have fun together! Supporting this great cause in whatever way we can.

If you feel you would like to contact a member of LOTROPlayers.com about this event.

Please feel free to email: Lilikatebuggins@gmail.com

If you can’t manage to get there by yourselves then go to Bree and shout loudly in /regional.
I understand that our security team will have folks there to help people get to the event.
I have a handful of summoning horns and I am sure any Captains will oblige us with a little help to get people to the event.
