I solo alot and was using the # of aoe targets legacy in the past. This was great for getting healed. But now after imbuement, we no longer have this legacy. What is the max number of aoe targets we can hit now? And is this enough to sustain our healing? How are you coping now?

The max number of targets you can hit with an imbued weapon is five, seven on a traited sweeping cut. The healing is a less, noticeably so, but things die faster so it's a tradeoff. If you really need healing you can always swap to an unimbued 1h sword and shield for a Sweeping Cut -> Whirling Retaliation combo, which does the trick quite nicely.
