Me ??? I'm not using XP. I have a fully functioning XP here for other old games yes but that is unplugged from internet and have been for years. Any online shopping I do is on the win7 machine that is still supported on top of that I only use so called e-cards as my bank have that service and You only load as much You are going to buy for at that time, even set an expire date and can delete the card after You used it. I also have firewall, a paid for full anti-virus as well as VPN that I use sometimes if doing certain things. I also avoid non official sites. Still nothing can keep You truly protected or safe as we have seen with Sony Playstations customer register being hacked, recently GameStop was being hacked and all their customers who had ever shopped from them using a CC was in trouble as their CC numbers (including the 3 digit cvv number) as well as personal details where for sale shortly after on internet. Those are just a few examples and where they acctually let us know they had been hacked. Putting Internet and Security in the same sentence is kind of a contradiction and a joke really. I'm happy I basically always pay with cash when I do shop in real physical stores even the few times I bough at GameStop. This is not a time to take risks but do all You can to play it safe.
Maybe You were not reffering to me but in general for XP users ???
Very well said.. If they can hack the Pentagon, what's to stop them from hacking our allegedly secure OS's.
In place of a dark lord, you shall have Queen...... All shall love me and despair

in "my documents" find the folder "the Lord of the Rings Online". right click and rename "old The Lord of the Rings Online"
you can leave it where it is.
i have to do this every month, but it keeps me playing.
The game reloads last update, and makes itself a new folder.
I now have one called "old" "old2" "July" "aug"

what to do?
This is very old Microsoft bug. There are ways to fix it for LOTRO, but Goolge links to LOTRO pages are not working today.
