When a hunter can do over 100k dmg to a r12 warg its difficult to sympathize.

Yeah, pretty much this. I've yet to see any creep 1v1s I've had (and I have a lot of 1v1s) where I see them consistently getting less than reasonable levels of crit. Two nights ago my combined total critical chance in solo and duo play (that is, unbuffed) was a very reasonable 1 in 36 on average. That is literal, 35 hits per 1 crit on average, which is by far the lowest I've seen yet.

When you don't know how to trait for a 75% reduction in incoming damage it's difficult to sympathise.

It's probably closer to a 50% reduction with mits and armor boost.

Actually here he isnt wrong about this. You know I keep a pretty cool head about stats and keep it pretty real. When I compare say base TT to anon crit lets use HS here. In my current build it bases at 18-23k a non crit on say a warg is 6-7k. thats 11-12k lower than the tooltip. 50% would be 9k. So its in the ballpark.

Agreed there, I was referring to crits on Wargs with mits and without mits.

Mmm, no I'd say 75% reduction is about right, a Warg with 0 mits traited in a 1v1 you're talking 40-45k per T3(5) Barrage crit/dev, a Warg with 6 Tac mits traited and you're looking at ~13k at the absolute maximum, for a 1v1 build.

It's less than 75% if they're balancing say 4:2, though, you're right there if that's what you mean, but it's still higher than 50%.

Well it's either Barrage or HS that's going to farm you, so it's going to be closer to 50% if you're not talking about 1 dimension of Hunter DPS.

It's more than 50% on the 100k hits some other poster mentioned, was my point... I regularly hit over 100k on scrubby no-mits Creeps (with buffs obviously), but those that trait any mits at all, it's never even close.

Finally managed to hunt down that odd freep crit bug and put in a fix for it. It was pretty obscure.

Freep critical rates should go more or less back to normal in the Ettenmoors when that hits the build.

    Hey Vastin.

I suppose any kind of bug fixing is good news, but in this case, that means creeps will require a significant damage reduction to compensate, else freep DPS will be off the charts. Please don't make that mistake.

Excellent! Is this going to hit live before or with the Mordor release? I presume the latter but just clarifying. Can't wait to be able to 1v1 without having a 1:40 crit chance.

Very nice to hear. Now that this bug is resolved it's gonna be easier to balance from there.

I'd imagine freeps will have overpowered dps though, so creeps will need more defence most probably.

That can't be right. I read on the internet that SSG doesn't care about PvMP.

Awesome to hear, Vastin. In compensation, I'm sure Creeps will need a base defensive buff, but at least now we'll be able to get an idea of balance without bugs in the way. Thank you!

Let's see where we sit in a few weeks, once freeps have leveled and acquired whatever gear is available to set up proper pvp builds. I think anything otherwise is extremely premature as we all know BR pvp testing isn't always a good indicator of what we'll see on the live servers, and changes are still possible to Freep stats/mechanics to better tackle newly released PvE content.

In my opinion the best path forward would se a sequence of events something like this: 1) Establish a baseline in the weeks after Mordor release; 2) Thorough adjustments to balance things to the new Mordor pvp stats/experience; 3) Freep PvP gear/instance/raid updates which likely change/increase the power of Freeps; 4) Small adjustment to already established baseline.

Changing too many things at once is often problematic, and in this case would be done so on a test server that is likely not indicative of live PvP action. Thus, it would be best to hold thorough modifications until we have time to establish this baseline on live servers.

Creeps may not (likely won't?) agree with this timeline, but a clear systematic approach to balance needs to be made going forward.

Agree 100%, only thing needing immediate adjustment are baseline stats for Creeps, really.

Well they have already fixed it, for some reason they just aren't releasing the fix till the Mordor expansion.

Dev logic. It would appear pvp just isn't enough of a priority to release a seldom seen important fix when it is made. Might as well make those paying customers wait even longer, eh?

Could have even been shipped with the 12 hour downtime the other day maybe...?

Very disappointing that their time-frame for fixing a known bug is next expansion.

been on hunter more than BA currently.

This bug is terrible for solo/1v1.
honestly, the group pvp feels balanced as long as there is no lag.
