    Crash to desktop

    Following my (corrupted and 'fixed' ) fresh install of the game from the lotro.com installer my game now crashes to desktop with alarming frequency (2-5 times per hour currently).

    The log file tail is as follows.
    Code:
    350189684.452: ----CRASH REPORT START----
    350189684.452: Program fault: {Not Enough Quota}

    Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota is available to complete the specified operation.

    I have searched for information, but all i have found is vague and contradictory 'solutions' many of which i have tried, none fo which have had any effect at all, these include
    switching DX between 9, 10 and 11.
    seting the game to low graphics settings.
    used and not used the high res packs.
    I have copied the folder to a non program files folder.

    I should point out that the previous install was a steam install on a HDD instead of an SSD, and while it had a number of stability issues, i dont recall a single instance of crashing to desktop, nothing else is different with regards to PC/windows settings, i cannot find any diagnostic tools or any other information regards to tracing the problem other than the log file.

    Wish I had a solution for you. But I do have a question. . .

    What part of the game world are you frequenting or even passing through momentarily during the play sessions that end abruptly with a crash to desktop (CtD)?

    I wish it could be narrowed down like others have done re travelling etc or minas tirith, but literally i had crashes stood in bree craft hall watching WC and football today, as well as a few more crashes while just walking around bree town, once in archet by the cairne, a couple of horse trips but for the most part, simple walking around bree or just doing nothing at times.

    Well I was crashing a lot, admittedly after a few fast travels, but I applied the settings in Zonflux's guide here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1240609003 - and haven't crashed since. Don't know if it will fix your particular problem but it's worth a try.
